BLNR + cash for BLRO?

Bought the BLNR several years ago for about half of what its going for now. Would have to go grey for a BLRO Pepsi with the jubilee. So would you trade BLNR + some cash to get the new Pepsi?

In a few months from now you wiil get some extra cash for your BLNR in a trade with the BLRO! But no way - keep the BLNR!

I would, but I prefer the BLRO. I think if you can get it for what would amount to a small premium then if you prefer it I would.

Yes I would. I’m not a fan of the PCL’s on the BLNR whereas the jubilee/Pepsi combination looks fantastic (I realise the jubilee has PCL’s but I think it ‘wears’ them much better).

This. It also has a better movement, so what’s not to like?

I’ve never been a fan of the PCL oyster on the GMT’s either.

I love both. But if I had to choose I’m keeping my BLNR on oyster.

I certainly would. No question.
1) I think this is as hot as the old BLNR is going to get, so you will get a good price for it now.
2) I dont like PCL on oyster. The scratches show up a lot more than PCL on Jub
3) Pepsi, new movement + jub looks hot

No issue on trading but I would go offer this trade to some AD's as the money should be straight. The AD's bought the Pepsi at 62% of retail and could get 12-14K for your Batman. Do the math and see how much the AD will profit.

Sure, I like having the larger power reserve. Wear what you like!

I for sure would for the new WG version with the blue dial.

But putting in cash for another steel GMT, no way.

if you really like the BLRO then yes, since it would be very difficult to buy one at retail anyway. you pay a small premium only if you take into account the amount that you will be making from the blnr

There is more to the new movement than just a larger power reserve. It is a better movement all around with a improved rotor using bearings. That addressed a much well known weakness in the older movements. Is this a jewelry forum or watch forum??? The new movement is significant.

No way. Wait and get a Pepsi, and swap the PCL for a Matt oyster on the BLNR. That would be a superb 2 piece GMT combo. BLNR for travelling and daily without worrying about PCLs, with the Pepsi for going out

I consider the two watches equals. The same, but slightly different. You can't go wrong with either option.

All things being equal, I would not part with cash just to change the color of my bezel.

Personally I prefer the BLNR. If you love the Pepsi go for it. But on the flip side, I think given the recency of the change in lineup I would wait before moving my BLNR. I think the value of the 2 will converge over time.

I wouldn't make the trade but that's just me. If I really wanted the BLRO then I'd find a way to source one and have both.

Not a chance. I'd buy the BLRO from an AD and use this as an opportunity to develop your patience. It used to be a virtue but alas, the times, they are a-changing.

Yes, I probably would as well. Towards the dark bezel variant for me.

But... of course, it depends how much cash difference we are talking about.

If I could source a new jubilee, I’d rather do that than sell the BLNR and add cash.
