Black Bay Straps and lug holes - a conundrum
I've owned the BBN (ETA) for a few years now, and currently have it on Rubber B, which is nice but I'm looking to add a bit more flare.
What concerns me is the whole reason why I went to the Rubber B route - The space between the actual strap and watch case is large! I've tried nylon and leather natos, and thinner straps and it didn't work. Can anyone recommend a strap that actually fills in the large gap? Below is a strap that interests me from Watch Gecko (albeit on the in-house version). Looking forward to your thoughts!

I have been thinking about this also. It’s the thing that turned me off my Tudor GMT. The gap was just not nice. One possible help would be to buy very think spring bars. You can buy super fat 2.5mm thick bars that will make things a bit better. Even wrapping the 2.5mm bars with plastic to make them even thicker may also improve things. Let me know how you get on. This would obviously only work with a nato.

Have you thought about aftermarket end links? I rarely change out my bracelet/strap because its such a pain on a BB

I don't love the look of end links with leather straps; don't really want that integrated look, per se. I don't mind a small gap between straps - it's just that on the BB, it's monstrous!

There's a way to mind the gap with custom end links. Strapfreak sells them here on TRF.
Edit: didn't see your comments on not liking end links w/ straps. Then I have nothing to add. dP

Mind giving me the details on it? I am not sure my GMT can live without that now. Don't want to hijack the thread so you can PM if preferred. Edit: Never mind I found your other post with the details. Awesome strap |
