Paul2
I recently picked up a Z series SD and paid $5500.00 CDN. A little high, but still not too bad.
Anybody agree? |

Did you forget your pix? - this is the Rolex Watch Gallery.
Oops, sorry Paul - its your 1st post. Welcome to the Forum. That would be $6875 in Australia so probably not too bad. Nice Rolex and one of my favourites. Welcome to the 4000 club.

You see Z series in the sales forum here and elsewhere going for $4500 + US (u say ur in Canada) so what you paid is quite good. Price is dependent on other factors. What is the condition of the watch? Is the crystal ok? How is the bracelet and clasp (but those can be polished up by a RSC for low cost), more important is the case and he escape valve free of dings and scratches? If so, this is very good. Do you know its history, does it have papers, owners manulas, the boxes, etc etc this all effects price. Some very meticulous owners will sell their watches with even the plastic bezel cover and hang tag that the watch came with which usually means the watch was well taken care of! If all this is the case, then the watch you got is a very good price indeed I wud say, but this is just me.
Congrats! and post pictures wjhem you get a chance. |

Guys, you are lucky. Prices here in Egypt are much more expensive, may be 20% more than North America. I have paid US $ 6,400 for my 16610 Sub Date M serial in April, 2008.

Thanks for all the responses. Sorry about the newbie post location error.
I have all the necessary paperwork and purchased it from the AD which initially sold it to the seller. It has gone to the Rolex hospital for minor cosmetic surgery. I sure hope the renowned Rolex cosmeticians are as good as everyone says. This year I purchased a Milgauss, Submariner, White Daytona and Yachtmaster....better take it easy for awhile.... Many thanks again to all for the helpful and prompt comments! |

Be sure to post on the results of the Rolex Service Center (RSC) polish and cleaning of the SD.
Great watch, great price, well done! |
