Would you buy a Kermit without Box and Papers?
Hi everyone,
As many others, i'm watching this forum for a few months already, while searching for my first Rolex. I was offered a very nice Kermit, D serial (not "Flat 4" series), without box and papers, for $12K. The seller is a dealer that i trust, and the watch looks mint (IMHO, at least). I have a very small wrist (incredibly small - a bit larger than 5.5in), therefore, i prefer the 5 digits Submariners over the 6 digits. As my first watch, i wanted something a bit more special, and thought on the Kermit as a great companion for that. My hesitation is about the price and the lake of box and papers for that amount of money. The seller offered another watch, in a similar MINT condition, for additional $3K, inc. box and papers. That sounds a lot IMHO, but would love to hear your opinions on that. What are your thoughts here? Obviously, from one hand i'm not a dealer. I want the watch to wear and enjoy it. He offered to buy the watch back whenever i want (not necessarily for the same price :)) and the authenticity of it is guaranteed. From the other hand, there is something nice with having the whole set. What do you think? I have uploaded a photo wearing the watch :) Your help is much appreciated. |
