White ceramic daytona vs AP ROO chrono

Thread title says it all. white ceramic daytona or AP royal oak chrono 26331ST.OO.1220ST.01 (blue dial with silver subdials)? retail for the ROO is $24.4

(thread says ROO but this is actually just an RO).

I’d choose the AP.

Are we assuming $24k for either watch? If so then AP.

I own both except my ROC is white. I’ll say this if both are at msrp the daytona feels like a bargain. However at gray market prices they’re about the same price and is go ROC. They feel and wear very very different so that preference of how it feels on the wrist may end up being the determining factor.

Ap. Double retail on daytona is ridiculous

At MSRP I would take the Daytona over the ROC. Would much rather have a Daytona as my chronograph watch and RO 15500 in the collection.

Not a fan of white dial anything, so Daytona black dial for me.

Although both chronos, I'd say they're very different watches. The ROC wears a bit larger and is definitely a nicer watch overall, especially the bracelet. Also, the ROC will show scratches and marks much more easily due to the finishing.

Costs aside, I'd rather own the ROC over the Daytona... but at msrp, the Daytona wins for me. With that said, it also depends what else you have because I would not want the ROC as a one and only for example, while my Daytona could be. Both great watches!

At MSRP, the Daytona.

At the same costs, the RO.

My two cents.

Thanks for the pics! I have the 116519 but still waiting for my 116500LN and was offered the ROC in blue dial. Gorgeous piece! Wanted peoples opinions on it. Was wondering about value of ROC at msrp in comparison to the current mrkt price of the Daytona C. Thanks!

AP hands down. The finish on the watch is leaps ahead of Rolex. But too big for my girly wrists so I settle for Rolex :p

22k for a daytona or 24k for a ROC is an easy decision. ROC 100%.

Got the opportunity to try on an AP ROC panda dial at an AD a few weeks ago. Amazing piece. Feels special and has substantial wrist presence. I’ve never tried on a DaytonaC but I think AP is on another level compared to Rolex. I’d vote AP unless you’re getting the Daytona for MSRP

That AP is gorgeous

If you can afford both in the long term I say go for it.

Is it just me, or does the blue dial ROC posted by the OP have marks on the bezel at around 12:01 and 11:57?

I know its not literally true but i feel like the ROC is more like a sporty dress watch and the daytona can be a relatively dressy sport watch

They are very different watches. The AP is much larger and is more delicate. One is a sports watch and the other is sporty. The AP has a much higher level of finish but lacks the great history of the Daytona. It all depends on what you want.
