General Question...
I have the opportunity to pick up a Sub and wanted to know my fellow members thought.
How hard is it really to pick up a Submariner? (with or without Date Complication) Should I take the opportunity now or should I wait and pick one up later? (Will the availability and market change) Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks in advance |

If it is a watch you want and are getting it for MSRP or less, buy it now.
With the current shortage/hype, no one can tell you if it will get better or worse with regards to availability. |

If you want it, get it! If not, then wait.. its not impossible to track one down later when you want it. Good luck!

Easy to come by. If you are not ready to buy, you can wait until you are ready.

If you want it, get it. Likely to remain hard to get. Rolex seems to be positioning Tudor as the entry level luxury watch brand and cementing this with low volume on SS Rolex.

If in doubt than don't. Buyers remorse is not a nice feeling

If you want it now buy it now. If you want to wait you should be able to buy one in the future without too much difficulty.

Search your feelings then try it on. If you love it buy it. If not there will be more if you change your mind.

If you want it and you have the money, get the Submariner.

Don't overcomplicate the matter. Grey/AD pricing is very similar so you are not gaining or losing much equity. If you wanted the watch you would know, but going for it and seeing how you feel doesn't carry much risk.

I am amazed at how many people isn’t he US are saying a Sub is easy to come by.
Are you all talking about Grey availability? They for sure are not easy to come by at ADs in the UK. I asked to go on a list for one just this week, in the only AD, a quite large one, within an entire County in the U.K. and was told they have closed their list as they do not expect to receive enough over the next three years to get one to everyone on their existing list. This was after the assistant had been quite surprised when I asked to be removed from the list for the Explorer II Polar White as I was up to number 2 on that list. I have bought other items from them in the past, and was in the process of picking up a DateJust for my wife, so we at least have a “relationship”. Of course, this may all be BS, but if it is their message is very consistent. |

Assuming you are talking stainless sub with black face it's one of the most common Rolex watches out there.
Sounds to me like you should wait and spend your money when you see something you love. Don't buy a Sub as an investment. |
