Vintage in Toronto?

I’ll be visiting the beautiful city of Toronto on Thursday and was wondering if there are any vintage places worth popping into? Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks!

Only one I can think of offhand is Van Rijk on Eglinton...you could take the subway there and walk east, it's close to the station. Last time I stuck my head in there they were awful snobs, but the watches were interesting.

There are others, but I think Van Rijk is probably the biggest. Have a good trip!

Inventory isn't great and prices are ridiculous. I mean...ridiculous.
Bought all my vintage from HQ Milton in the Bay - even with the exchange it ended up being worth the effort.
Sean@ Watchfinder has a pretty good selection - just hope he's in a haggling mood.

Back in the day when CBSA was less on the ball it was even better! And I agree, BUYING from VR would probably not be ideal but I'd do it if I found a black-dial RG 1012 on Jubilee or RG 1803 or something. I browse watch shops in airports too and I have NO intention of buying there, ha.

I bought more from Jacek at HQM than any other source too. My 5513, one of my 1018s, my 1803 and 16550 all came from him.

Van Rijk prices are ridiculous and the guy is a prick. Watchfinder is better. But Toronto really isn’t a great destination for vintage watch browsing. Sorry.

Agreed on everything written above. There's alot of vintage in Toronto, but its really about the network and relationships here, as opposed to shops that carry vintage (outside of those mentioned above). Text me when you're in town and I'll mention a few guys that you can check out. 437-997-4304
