Tell me about your AD Delivery experience

Hoping my AD comes through on the YM order I've placed, and wondering about your delivery experince. What did your AD do to make your purchase/delivery special?

I think it's highly variable from AD to AD. Some offer alcoholic beverages or water. You may or may not receive additional Rolex "goodies". Myself, I have been offered bottled water and give a box of Rolex golf balls.

Don't get your hopes up. Pretty straightforward in my experience- culminated with a firm handshake.

They packed it in a box and shipped it. I opened it and took the stickers off. Perfect in my mind.

I walked in and saw a young sales associate helping a new customer with his purchase of a GMT LN this past February. I started chatting with both of them about watches and he had asked what I was looking for. I wanted my first Rolex to be a 114060 as I’ve always thought it was elegant, simple and would be cherished for many years to come. The rep told me to come back in 15 minutes and one happened to pop out of the back. The experience was great and the best I’ve had at any AD. I bought a luminor marina logo about 8 months prior and the experience was horrible. At the end of the day you’re just there for the watch; but a good, knowledgeable sales rep and a smile make the buying experience better for sure.

On my last two deliveries, BLNR in November of 2017 and BLRO in December, both were presented to me in their shipping coffins. For the BLNR I was seated at a desk in the back of the showroom away from the displays, for the BLRO I was taken into a private room. I was given the opportunity to inspect them thoroughly and once I said yes they were taken into the shop to be sized and stickers removed. While waiting I sipped on bottled water and was presented with the invoice and charge slip. When the watches came back I was given the box and papers and wore both of them out. No gift with the first watch, the second came with a single Wolf watch winder and a single watch travel case. Items were put in a plain brown bag. My store always has an off duty police officer at the front of the store and I suspect if you asked they would escort you to your car.
Always greeted with a smile, no BS posturing or weird requirements to fulfill, and after both I’ve been given the opportunity to ask for something else. Asked in February for a black Daytona that I expect by the end of this year.

As it was my new AD, he offered me to buy a Blue dial Skydweller into a short notice( immediately in fact) and put me on the list for a 116500LN.
Was in january 2018 and I am still waiting for the Daytona.

I purchased a RG CHNR from a very knowledgeable, patient, and professional team at an AD a couple of weeks ago. Not much fanfare in terms of gifts, etc but the team showed its appreciation by patiently answering all of my questions and cleaning the watch I was wearing and my wedding ring. It was a perfect experience for me. Low key but I did feel appreciated

Those aren’t employees, those are people on the wait list. Dummies all think they moved up to number one.

I usually get a small bottle of water and some brochures.
I'm not really after it being a special experience. It doesn't really matter to me as long as I'm happy with the price I paid. I do enjoy getting some of the swag though.

They always tell me congratulations. I keep meaning to ask for what. It's not like I just won the Olympics or something. I literally just pointed, handed you a credit card, and you gave me a watch.

I bought a TT Serti Dial Sub Date from a coworker in some dire straits. He had no particular affection for the watch, just needed stupid green pieces of paper more than some blingy thing. We both left the transaction happy.

I wore the watch for a couple weeks, and came to the realization that it is just too over the top for me.

Walked in to DavidSW's place, and left with a 14060M and a stack of more green papers. Didn't even get home before I stopped at a bank and paid off the wife's car.

DSW took all the time this Rolex Rookie needed. There's a good chance I'll buy my next watch from him, as well.

Dont get your hopes up...the best you can expect in these current difficult supply conditions is the watch its self.....and the AD will expect you to be eternally grateful for this alone......the only extra you may get it the warrenty card and tag if lucky

The watch is the experience I'm after, so I don't ask for anything special. If you'll sell me the watch I want, I will do business with you forever. Not looking for single malt scotch or gifts, but I have received a green hat with D-Blue, and brown leather watch travel case with BLRO.

Wonderful. I got the call, rounded up my 13 year old daughter and had a pleasant experience. The 126711chnr was cool in pics but absolutely stunning in person under various lighting conditions. It was initially sized a bit too tight but he remedied that right quick. Brought it to and from the jeweler in the back area of the store. Brought us water and smiles from fellow staff. Strapped it on, paid for it and wore it out of the shop!

Hope to get another call for a stainless model.

My delivery experience... 3 month wait for a white DaytonaC. Upon pick up a glass of wine and a great discussion on other watches and jewelry. Only one of all watches bought from them that I had to wait.
