Rolex Winding Feel Question
I have several current models fairly new and interested in how others experience the feel of winding. My Hulk winds with very little feedback, just a little resistance but completely smooth. My Pepsi seems to have a little more feedback, almost like a clicking type feel as it winds. Sea Dweller and DJ 41 have the same movement but feel a little different from each other, some feedback feel as they are wound. Daytona feels more like the Hulk, no feedback, very smooth, not as much resistance as the Hulk. The Polar winds more like the pepsi with some clicking, but would expect gmt models to have similar movements.

Rolex Winding Feel Question
You didn’t say what polar you have nor what Pepsi you have. There are 4 different movements that you might have between the 2 of them 3185, 3186, 3187( Polar explorer 42mm) and 3285 newest Pepsi movement
Even if you have the same movement there small improvements within the same calibre model that Rolex improved/ change but did not change the model number. Even if you have the same identical movements between the 2 you still have the individual watch’s condition like wear and tear lubrication etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I find that the GMT II root beer clicks when fully wound. Initially scared the chocolate yogurt out of me () but the movement is great.

My new DJ41 feels clicky when the crown is unscrewed, and when it's wound.
I guess it's normal. |

there are some great pictures of the mainspring system in all automatic watches that explain how they cannot be over-wound. I usually give all mine a few turns whenever I have crown open. Also when they stop I wind 20-30 times to give them a full charge.
