10 yr waiting list on blnr

Thats what i was told today by the shop i bought my black gmt from a couple of years ago, no kidding.

i was ringing them to talk about servicing, and we were having a general chat, it seems to confirm what the rest of the world is saying, i said whats the sub situation like, and he said better, but still a year or two.

So who gets them then, i mean their business is selling watches, i dont believe that they dont get any.

Maybe its 10 years for the average joe, 3 months for the well connected.

It’s 2 days if you buy from a trusted seller.

Don’t see the point of repeating AD drivelings myself...

Yeah as long as you’re ok paying 2-3x retail.

If anyone thinks thats the “easy” solution then I’m truly done with this hobby.

Thanks but no thanks.

10 years means they will not be selling one to you.

It's never a ten-year waiting list. That's impossible to project, for any number of reasons. This is just your AD either politely telling you that he doesn't want to bother taking down your name because any stock he's getting any time soon is accounted for, or encouraging you to think about buying something else that he can get more easily.

It is just a steel watch that tells you the date and time.

It is not magical nor does it give you status. It is not worth it. Not to me anyways.

It’s your AD’s drivel - not attributing it to you -

Myself, I wouldn’t repeat it since it has no value whatsoever - a salestron says many more silly things not worth repeating, too.

That’s exactly what the AD is telling you, of course more politely.

I get the feeling if the AD did literally tell you to **** off that we would be hearing all about that interaction as well...

I highly doubt it'll be that long for the average Joe. Just scaremongering as they want to avoid having a list longer than War & Peace.

Given the speed that the new BLNR has been dispatched (in the UK anyways) I suspect production may have been stepped up to close the gap on demand.

My thoughts on it anyways.....

I don't understand this. Why do people assume that a ten year waitlist means they aren't getting and selling watches?

The current BLNR most likely won’t be in production for 10 years. At some point it’s likely something will change. And then the hype and the lists start over. So my interpretation of a 10 year wait is that you’re not getting the watch.

whats the big deal? if you put yourself on the list when it was first released in 2013, youd be 4 years away from a BLNR!

put yourself on the list, and dont think about it until you get the call in 10 years on your iPhone 20 lol
