Polish my watch requirement !!!
Hi guys,
This is a similar thread to one posted earlier but in another country. Where can i take a couple of watches to be polished in W.London or London general? They are not due a Rolex service so RSC are out of the question. Watchfinder.co.uk are a possibility but thats via the post. I was hoping to find someone that I could hand deliver them to and collect in a similar vein. So c'mon guys please gimme some advice and a rough idea as to cost . Kindest regards,

I've used Second Time Round in the past and would gladly recommend them

Depending on where you are, Swiss Watch Company (watches.co.uk) would be a good option. They're based in Chiswick.

Hi Charlie
These days I polish my Rolexes myself. Took some time to get the hang of it and to collect the gear, waxes, rubbing compounds etc. Quite easy to do and very effective. I now use a Dremel with a buff wheel and polishing compound to get the pre-finish. For the final finish it's chamois leather and a watch polish called AMOR. For deep scratches I have a rubberised stick which takes of most of the scratch if it's not deep. Comes out very nice. Follow this up with the Dremel and the AMOR. Then a light wash in warm soapy water to take off the excess wax and it's back like new. If you are handy with tools and your hands it very easy to do. Cheers Imtiaz |
