What are the top 3 Daytona's on Oysterflex (Popularity)

I've had the itch to add a second Rolex to the current rotation of 1, and since SS won't happen with the current state of the market, and the only full PM I'd actually splurge for will likely never come (Yellow gold Daytona w/green face), I've opened up to possibly a Daytona on OF

I actually like most of the options equally, and find they all look equally as good on my wrist. Since this is the case, and since I'm not sure how I will feel with Oysterflex over the long term, want to take the least beating possible if I ever have to sell/trade down the line by maybe choosing one of the more popular models.

Reading through the forum, i feel like the WG with silver dial is the most popular, but wondering if you guys think the same.....would you agree with these as being the most popular?

1. WG Silver dial
2. YG Champagne dial black subdials
3. YG Champagne

Would anyone put YG black dial, YG white dial or YG Paul Newman Dial in their top 3?

My personal favorite is the YG black dial with champagne sub dials.

Anecdotally, it appears the WG silver dial is most popular though. I call it the Raider.

I would put the yellow gold Paul Newman in there. To me, it is an even heat between
the WG Steel Dial and the YG Paul Newman.

Sure, keep an eye on resale but at this price level I think you only buy if it is something you really lust after.

I think you’ve got the order pretty much correct. As others have mentioned, the PN YG Daytona is popular as well.

Wondering if i made a mistake passing this one up in ADs window couple weeks ago, wasnt there anymore at last check. will inquire to see what wait is like on all these models. Think im leaning towards YG, just between this one, champagne panda or black dial

I don’t think it’s ever a mistake to wait until you have your mind made up, other opportunities usually arise, even for le patron we are talking about a few bucks.

When you say "YG Paul Newman" are you referring to the champagne dial with black subdials or the black dial with champagne subdials?

if we are talking about OF. Personally think the 519 will garnish the most attention because of the panda dial SS look but does not scream $30k watch to me. I would personally rate the 519 at the bottom ant 515 and 518 above the 519. I also do not understand why anyone would choose a SS dial on a pm watch over a pm dial on a pm watch...

This is probably the correct ranking of the top 3 most popular. Those three would probably be my 3 favourites, but I’d flip the ranking.

My personal favourite, cost £6800 new, when you could bend a dealer to your wishes for the slow selling watches.

If the SS Daytona is $27k, $30k seems like an absolute steal for a PM Daytona that looks 10x better...

Also, the dial, hands, indices, clasp, etc, etc are all white gold in the 519.

What SS Dial on a PM watch are you referring to in this post? I’ll agree that in some pictures the 519LN may look like a SS watch, but I can assure you there is NO comparison in person. Not a knock to the SS 500, just calling it what it is.
