Outgoing...

Most of the posts on the forum relating to passing on a watch are in connection with purchases made with the intention to pass them down to children when they grow older. Today was a special day for me. On a trip back home I realized it was unlikely I’d be able to come back into town for my father’s 76th birthday next month. Although it’s not the same as buying a new watch for him, at the spur of the moment I decided to take off and gift him my SubC Date before I headed to the airport. I really feel blessed and fortunate to be in a position to do so and owe so much to my parents. It was honestly the least I could do after all they’ve sacrificed in order to get me where I am today. My mother already has a Datejust given to her by my sister several years ago so I hope this day marks their continued good health.
