CEO of AP Meeting
Hey TRF - thank you so much for your feedback on another thread about my experience buying a 15450 a few weeks ago. Through a recommendation on here I reached out to their HQ and they are working on making the situation better. One follow up is I am meeting the new US CEO on Monday. Outside of discussing what happened to me and how to make the customer experience better, any other topics you'd recommend or I'm happy to inquire/pass feedback on?

Sometimes it is. I go there about five times a year and I would say four out of five visits are pretty good. I hate getting to that mall from I 95. I wish they would move that boutique to the design district in Miami.

Glad all got sorted out or will be.
What happened to the old CEO? Did you still talk to him or contacted him, since he got you the watch. Very cool of him. |

Not sure TBH, I think he got let go but I'm not sure. Will be sure to address the sentiment of treatment to customers at boutiques. |

+1. I had a super bad experience at the boutique. I went in to try different pieces but they treated me as if I can't afford one. I also asked if I can put my name down for the 15500/15202 but was told that I can't do so. I went to the boutique in Switzerland and the Sales rep told me that they have to take your name if you reside in the US. I just don't bother to go there anymore.

Funny how some of these sales associates treat their customers like they can’t afford their product. Regardless of the fact that the majority of the employees can’t afford what they are selling lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'm guessing that it's a lack of staff training and accountability. If they want to improve the boutique experience, that would be a good place to start. For those that complain about bad experiences, don't allow the sales rep to treat you how you don't want to be treated |

Yes, was always an amazing trick that designer gear boutique staff pulled off to make their far wealthier customers feel insecure and intimidated on entering their store.

Funny, i just had this happen in a tumi store recently. Not that i would consider tumi to be in a price range of AP, but it’s not inexpensive luggage either. I am getting a new bag for international travel and i was in the local tumi store in my mall. I have a lot of tumi gear and i have purchased a ton from this particular store, i don’t know this particular sales rep i dealt with however. Long story short, i saw their was a sale going on, i asked about said sale, the rep told me to flip over the tags to look at prices. I was asking about a particular bag and dimensions of the bag, with zero people in the store, the rep would hardly talk to me. I actually started laughing at one point when i asked a question and she said “ uh huh” as she completely ignored me. I just happen to be wearing shorts, a t shirt, backwards hat and flip flops. I have a tattoo sleeve and i am fairly young. The judgement was immediately noticed. So, what can we do? Well for one, never buy from that rep. If i needed a bag right then and there i would have bought it online and apple paid on my phone in front of her. She was that bad. I’ve never written an actual complaint about someone, but this was the closest I’ve come. I’ve had it happen at various ADs in the past, i think its just the state of the business currently. More buyers than product means the sales reps don’t need to try anymore. It happened to me in SF when i was asking about a white gold Daytona in the case. I was in the city for a huge tech conference and this lady could care less that i wanted to see the Daytona. In a city like San Francisco, their are tech millionaires everywhere. Punting people looking at 30k watches is a bad move. Full disclosure, I’m not one of those tech millionaires lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
