Icon20 Hulk Wearability Opinions Please

I love the uniqueness of this piece. Just wondering for those who have it, do you find the green to really mess up the wearability id the watch? I like my watches to be able to be worn with a t shirt or even suit, which the submariner has proven to be able to. Does the timeless nature of it get affected by the flooding of green? All input is greatly appreciated !

It's very versatile in my opinion. You can wear it with a T-shirt and its a great summer watch. In direct sunlight its very stunning.

In office/indoor conditions the dial appears black and the bezel green becomes toned down.

I wear the watch daily and from far away when not in direct sunlight the watch appears black honestly.

I wouldn't wear a Hulk, or any professional Rolex save maybe a YM or Explorer with a suit, but that's me.

Other than that, I don't see it being any less versatile than a black Sub. It's not like it is a flashing green strobe light, it's a dark emerald green watch dial.

I find it pretty often. IMO it's definitely a brighter/"louder" watch, so I probably wouldn't have gotten it as a fully every day wear--that said, it does go well with most colors/types of clothing. The only stuff I really tend to avoid wearing it with are bright reds to avoid a christmas-y kind of a feeling.

I think the green on the Hulk makes it more of a casual dress watch but that's just my opinion.

I wear mine with pretty much everything but a suit. The green isn’t too loud, I get compliments on it often by folks who know nothing about what it is

Will it be your one and only? I think it looks great with casual wear, but have seen them worn with suits and they do not look bad at all!

Great daily beater and other than tux you're good to go. Of course you can get a variety of bands (Everest, RubberB, dark green leather and NATO). It adds versatility to just the stock metal bracelet style.

I personally have been shocked with how versatile the watch is. The color variations of the dial and even the bezel based on lighting really can't be explained, you just need to experience it. I've personally worn mine a lot since acquiring it this year and I'm pretty particular about things matching. Bottom line... It goes with much more than you would think.

Goes with everything to me as long as you can fit it under a cuff.

I don’t have a hulk, but have seen them and they are not in anyway versatile. I know in today’s day and age, it’s a free for all but is green, which at least fashion wise does not match with certain colors. The giant lugs and green make for a huge wrist presence. It’s not like a gs dark Forrest green either.

Now really it’s an accessory and if you tend to dress casual you will have no issues. If your looking for versatility, don’t fool yourself, the black sub is the way to go. If you want to make a statement, the hulk.

I actually plan on getting a hulk as a daily. It's more left field than the black subs.

Nothing wrong with the green

Including beachwear in the Dominican. Didn't get shot or stabbed for it either.

It’s more versatile than most people think. Depending on the type of suit, it can be dressed up.

I couldn’t have it as my one and only. T shirt all day but not suit. I agree that the dial is much more muted indoors but if it gets hit by the right light, even indoors, it lights up like a disco ball.

As a Hulk owner, I agree. Might not be best to have as your one and only but works perfectly anytime you're not required to wear a suit. Paired best with a DJ41 (blue stick dial, jubilee yeah baby!) or some other dressier watch more appropriate with formal attire.

Now in the Submariner line, a one watch do-it-all-for-any-occasion, easily the Sub no-date. Just my humble opinion but that watch can be worn with anything, anywhere, anytime ranging from T-shirt and jeans to tuxedo with cummerbund. 114060=perfection.
