Bell & Ross finish is worn

Hey guys, I am looking at a used Bell & Ross BR03-92 with black case. Some of the black finish around the outter esge of the crystal is worn and i would like to have that fixed. Anybody else had this done before and is it expensive?

I don't know if B&R would "re-coat" the case. you can contact service center and see.

if they don't do re-coating, then they would suggest replacing the case all together.

And crystal is easy to replace so no worries there

I was told by a B&R rep. a few years ago that the coated cases could not be touched up, rather, an new case would be required at owner's expense. Things may have changed since then.

I don’t believe it can be refinished, and doubt that a case replacement would be economical (ie I think it be cheaper to find a watch that is not worn). Note that some B&R fans like the worn look, though I appreciate it’s not for everyone. If you don’t like the worn look, you might want to look for one of the ceramic models (that is what I have). Good luck!
