Wear my TT Daytona in Torrevijea, Spain?

Usually never scared of wearing my watches in the world, but when it comes to Torrevieja (Spain, south of Alicante) I've heard both that it's the quietest place on earth and also that it's a crime zone.

I'm going there later this summer. I'm a big guy and never had issues regarding watches but you think I could wear my 116503 or should I go for a steel Rolex or Tag Heuer?

Just asking for your opinions. It's leaning towards using the Daytona.

I can't begin to tell you how little you should be concerned, but as I've said countless times and so have others in these "is it safe in X place?" threads, you'll be fine as long as you don't do stupid things, and if you're going to be paranoid about your watch instead of enjoying your holidays, then for the love of god leave it at home and take something you won't think about. Your watch won't call you crying from home.

I have family not far from there. I was born in that region of Spain. You have next to nothing to be concerned about, but don't bring it and ruin your own relaxation.

I do hope there won't be any more of these threads regarding Spain, or London, or anywhere else. Bring it and live on the edge, or leave it at home and chill.

Agree.
Insure it, wear it, enjoy it.
My Pepsi and DD40 recently survived five counties in Europe, to include Spain.
Amazing.
In October, two or three of my watches will tour Madrid, to A. Coruña, to Porto, to Fatima, to Seville, to Gibraltar, to Malaga and back to Madrid.
God I hope I survive.

All those "is it safe in X" are starting to get old real quick. IMO it's not about what city/country it is, it's more about what place and activity there you're doing. Would I want to be strolling around a bad neighborhood in *insert any city here* at 2 A.M. wearing an expensive watch? No. Would I have no reservations doing the same thing at 4 P.M. in a safer region of the same city? Absolutely.

Suppose it depends who you bump into, I heard Rome was bad, I wore a cheap grab and go and when I got there was the only guy in the restaurants without a Rolex or Patek
