I have a hard time believing the boutique in Bangkok did that, are you sure you’re not mixing up a watch shop that sells APs for an AD? Because it’s obvious they weren’t qualified to work on the bracelet.

A new bracelet? Seriously? You think they should give you a new bracelet for a damaged screw head? That’s insane.
A new screw is justifiable, but seems you might have some screws loose yourself.

I think people are being opportunistic and trying to leverage it to get items discounted or get prioritization, since unlike other brands Audemars Piguet makes an active effort to listen to their clients and monitors social media.

The OP has a case for requesting a new link and screw, given it’s very obvious that whomever sized the bracelet, did so with too big a screwdriver – chewing up the screw head and the hole.
Lazy at best, but most likely just sheer incompetence. |

English isn’t the OP’s first language, as evidenced by the word “cut” – do you believe he meant to infer that the AD took a hacksaw to his watch? – so perhaps give him bit of leeway for forgetting the word “link”. Then again, he is new to the world of AP, and doesn’t know what their policy is in such circumstances. |

AP AD damage my bracelet
Quote:
First or second language, asking for a new bracelet for a damaged screw it absurd. Screw, yes. Link if damaged, yes - hard to tell from the photo. Bracelet, laughable.

If you can’t see the damage on the link Roger you should have gone to SpecSavers and tightened your screws. Minimum would be to replace the damaged link(s) and screw(s). There, that wasn’t too difficult was it? Tough crowd.

Here’s a novel thought… help him understand better which words/parts he should be seeking to have replaced, instead of trying to denigrate him. |

If he meant link rather than bracelet, sure I’ll apologize. He said bracelet and there are unfortunately a lot of self entitled users here who “mean” bracelet or dang, for that matter, expect full watch replacement for a damaged screw. You’ve been here long enough to read the threads to know exactly what I’m talking about so get off my case.

I was looking on the iPhone but on the PC I do see the damage around the link too, so yes, asking for the link to be replaced is valid. And YES, I do wear reading glasses and am due for an annual exam! LOL

You ppl are too sensitive ... AD f***d it up, they should do whatever they need to do to fix it ... whatever that is ... likely a link or two. I would be upset if it were me.

Agreed. Too many put the AD on a pedestal. If the AD screwed up they oughta make it right and then some. If you think that is an entitled attitude, you need to re-evaluate some things.

Read the 1st post. It was a “bracelet” replacement request which has now been determined to be a misunderstanding due to English being a second language.

I’m curious to hear what AD that caused this.
