Rolex Grand Cayman

Hey guys,

Wanted to give everyone a heads up on inventory in Grand Cayman. Kirk at the Ritz has a 42mm black Explorer II, a 37mm Yachtmaster as well as a few 41mm Datejusts with oyster bracelets.

I was fortunate enough to pick up my first Rolex, the MK2 Explorer. I can’t seem to upload pics on my phone to the forum. I’ll try when I get home!

Stayed there in Jan 2018. Had a beautiful selection then.

Very interesting, thanks for the heads up. I plan to hit Cayman towards the end of the year. I don't know that I'd take any of the current selection, but it sounds as if there's slightly less demand there.

Wonder if any customs issues back to US?

Will be there in 2 days. Looking forward to stopping by. Did you have to pay tax?

I've bought two watches from them so far and each time have had no issues with duties when coming back to the states..... I did wear the watches on my wrist each time though just in case.

There is no tax in the Caymans. Technically, you should declare the watch at US customs upon your return and pay the duty. I have been to Kirk at the Ritz and downtown Georgetown. The downtown has a larger selection.

Whenever we’d walk by the Kirk store in the RC my daughters would pick out various pieces they wanted. Mind you, the oldest was 4 at the time. This trip may be painful.

We were at the RC over Christmas and they had a two tone root beer in the case and a platona. Seemed like better inventory than we saw the next week at the rolex in the Miami design district, for what it’s worth.

Bought my wife’s DJ36 there in July, and my Navitimer 01 from the Breitling boutique down the street. That was an expensive afternoon in George Town.

I bought a SubC and wife’s 31mm from Sonia at Kirk Freeport in the last 1.5 years. Sonia went out of her way to make the experience great for my wife and kids. Can’t say enough good about them.

Bought my BLNR from them a few years ago, right out of the case with no prior history with them. Had to choose between a black sub and others, my times have changed
