First Rolex (Datejust 41): 126300 or 126334
Hi everyone!
I am going to buy a first Rolex watch for everyday using. At the moment, the role of watch for every day is performed TagHeuer Calibre 16 (black chronometer). I have already decided on the model - this is Datejust 41 (it seems to me that this is a universal and recognizable watch). But now I have another problem: choose a specific model. I choose between: 1) 126300 (Blue Dial, Index Hour Markers, Polished Stainless Steel Bezel, Jubilee Bracelet): looks simpler, less noticeable, Luminescent Hour Markers is convinient, but Polished Stainless Steel Bezel - can be a problem (scratches) ; 2) 126334: Black Dial, Diamond Hour Markers, Fluted Bezel, Oyster Bracelet - a brighter model, look good. But what about universality? Is this model suitable for ordinary clothing (jeans + T-shirt)? A little about me: I'm 35, medium build, clothes - casual ( T-shirts / polo shirts / sweaters and jeans, sometimes a jacket and shirt). I would be grateful for the help in choosing! |

I too am thinking about the DJ41, I would go 126300. I think it is a better fit for casual clothes and flies under the radar better

I would buy 126334. Black, Fluted, Oyster. Do NOT get diamonds....

option one is probably better for casual wear, but i prefer the fluted bezel. also i feel like diamonds would look better with the jubilee bracelet. i have a black dial dj36 with diamonds/jubilee and it is very flashy, so just be prepared for that if you go that direction

I owned both models and decided to stay with the 126300. The fluted bezel was way too flashy. I love the combination of the jubilee with the smooth bezel.

There many members here who wear their fluted bezel/jubilee bracelet DJ41 as their everyday watch. |

Go for the blue dial, jubilee and fluted bezel. It is something special.

Can't go wrong with a DJ41. I'll have my 4th when the white dial with roman numerals arrive. Get the one you love. If flashiness is an issue for you, get oyster and smooth bezel. Jubilee shines like crazy, but I love that.

Go between and get the 126334 without diamonds. There's no need for them and they certainly won't help with your versatility concerns. Oyster, blue dial to me is one of the nicest looking models Rolex has ever made.

Option 1!
But if this is your only one, I would suggest the oyster bracelet. Far better for every day wear and durability!

Option 1. Owned the exact combo and probably my favorite to date. Very versatile and the jubilee makes the watch.

Thank you all for your opinion!
Option №1 (126300) is gaining significantly more votes. I think this is a classic version. As I understand it, in the second version (126334), it is diamonds that confuse. Why? Not suitable for casual wear? Missing luminescent? Another reasons? Quote:

Option 2.
For what it's worth, I have been wearing my mop DJ41 everyday (casual, swimsuit, tuxedo...) for the last two years. Wear what you want, no one will care. If they do, they have issues and you don't want to know them. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk |

I bought the DJ41 fluted jubilee diamond dial. I think it's the best option. if diamonds is too much then stick dial, fluted is a must in my opinion.

I found that this one works well for me, but isn't a daily. I had a MOP diamond dial but it got taken up in a trade deal.

I wasnt overly picky on the dial color, but it had to be fluted/jubilee/sticks. I recall finding a close match to what I truly wanted but couldnt deal with the diamond markers.
After a bit more searching, I found my perfect match:blue / fluted / jubilee / sticks I'm in the same age range as you, and dress casual almost every day. |

126300 for me but on jubilee - love it and my joint favourite watch with my mint 16710
but i saw a friends new watch last week and was the black dial 41 with fluted bezel and diamond indices but on a jubilee - too "much" for me but it is a stunning piece undoubtedly you cant lose here

Datejust 41 + blue + fluted + jubilee
Blue fluted jubilee all day long. Coming from someone that had both black and white 41.
