sky dweller ?s

for owners, how do you like this watch? i am intrigued that it is an annual calendar, and considering it now more than a sub as the 'one watch' non chrono solution. Is it versatile? (casual and dress situations)

I absolutely love mine and it is easily the one I wear most of the time. The white dial means it's easy to read and if I do choose something else over the weekend it's very straightforward to set the date and time with the rotating bezel.

Of course I'll caveat this with the standard response of "it matters what you think - try it on and see how you feel". That said, it is fairly blingy due to size. But not much more bling than a DJ with fluted bezel would be. Also due to size, it seems a bit of a stretch to call it a dress watch, but I wore it with my suit to a wedding a few weeks ago and felt fine about it. That said, my cuff mostly covered it.

I wear it casually and with my suit. It even made our family picture session!

The Sky Dweller- It freakin Rocks. I am thinking about selling my submariner and just wearing this as my everyday and special events watch.

It’s large but wears very well. Most people don’t care what type watch you wear but it’s fun to get compliments wearing this one.

Great watch, it’s been getting most of the wrist time. It’s a large and somewhat heavy watch so a small wrist won’t do well.

I am dying to try one of these on. I’m looking for a white dial. I feel the blue may be hard. To read.

As someone who travels globally the idea I can have a multi time Zone similar to a gmt but so much cooler looking.

Any comparisons to a GMT?

I do have a bluesey so have the submariner checked off the list.

Very versatile, wear it with suit or jeans. Excellent complication, and as a world traveler the dual time zone is easy to set and use. IMHO a brilliant design in mechanical movement timekeepers.

I just picked up a white dial a couple weeks ago and absolutely LOVE it! The white looks like an ivory or cream color in certain lights.

I travel abroad extensively (65+ countries so far) and the additional complication is very handy for me. I don’t notice an issue with the size or thickness, but that’s probably because I wear a 45.5mm Planet Ocean as well.

How hard is the white dial to come by? I know the blue is impossible but just checking about the white?

It’s honestly an amazing watch.

I’ve also got the SS white dial.

I wear it most days in casual attire and absolutely love it. I wouldn’t say it’s a classic dress watch due to the size, but with the fluted bezel it certainly looks dressy.

I probably couldn’t have at is a one watch as it would annoy me seeing the bezel get dinged but I could certainly have it with a sub as a perfect two watch combo

To be honest, all the colors are hard to come by. White is the least sought after at the moment, but with this SS craze you’d be lucky to find any!

None of the ADs locally to me can get their hands on one. When I walked in one the other day the sales person immediately asked where I was able to find it?!

Size wise it is kind of like a sub vs an SD43.

It’s one of my favorites. The complication is awesome. The overall look is similar to a DJ but with more presence. If you are on a budget and a smaller framed guy the DJ41 may suit you better though. But I LOVE my skydweller. Perfect Rolex to me.

Very versatile. From the office in a suit to the grocery store in jeans and t-shirt, it wears great.

Love mine, would be the last watch to leave my collection.
The workhorses are OP 39 and Exp II, that’s what I purchased them for, but whenever something special is needed, the SkyD comes out.
