Hello,

Need some help and advice on recently purchased sub (about 2 months old).

I noticed yesterday when unscrewing the crown and winding that there's some resistance after making a full rotation of the crown. It's always in the same spot, when going 360 deg. You can also hear a slight tick after overcoming the resistance.

Could this be due to fully wound barrel, that's causing a small tick ? I'm going to let the barrel unwind and try again.

Anything I should be concerned about and look into bringing into the AD to examine ?

So this resistance and tick only happens after a full rotation of the crown?

When I wind mine, I can hear ticks along the way as I rotate the crown.

Does the tick you hear only happen once every full rotation of the crown? Because if so, i don’t think that is normal.

(I’m no expert, but I noticed no one else has replied, so I’m trying to help)

Yes, you are correct. I can hear the normal ticking happening as I wind. But once I rotate 360 deg, I reach some small resistance and you can hear a different click once its overcomed.

It makes it once per full rotation.

I’ve never felt that on mine, so I would suggest going to an AD and seeing what they think of it.

Or maybe let it wind down like you said and try it again once the watch dies.

If the tick is still there when you try it from when it is completely unwound I would say it is probably a problem.

Having it wind down has seemed to fix the issue.

It’s probably just the over wind protection that you’re hearing.
