Looking for help identifying this Rolex

Backstory here, this could be "too good to be true". Apparently this watch was inherited from a uncle and sitting in a box most of the last 20 years. Seller thinks it's 30+ years old. This person knows nothing about Rolex. He said it started moving again when he took it out of the box for a minute and stopped so "probably needs a new battery". Also said the wife looked for a serial number "on the back but it's blank so probably fake".

At first I thought the cyclops looked off, but then I saw other example of 80s Datejust that look the same. I thought the half minute marks meant it was a fake, then I found them on older models. The right side of the crown looks a bit wonky to me, but could be camera/lighting.

This looks a lot like a 1987 Two Tone Datejust but not a perfect match. What do you guys think? Does anyone recognize this? Is it an obvious fake and my wishful thinking clouding my judgement? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sorry for the links but I can't get photos to show properly

Could be lighting - but for a start the 'gold' looks like it's rubbing off, crown on buckle?

It’s a badly executed fake.
