I used to own 116622 blue dial but traded it for BLNR little over year ago. It is very, very beautiful watch and sometimes I miss it. Not many pictures do it justice but you did a good job!

I'm thinking that model at your AD is 126622, with updated movement?

The new movement is not out yet, prob Aug/Sept

I read that the new 3235 movement is not as reliable as the 3135.

Is the 3135 having 50 hr power reserve?

I forgot about the movement update. However, I believe that is NOT the updated model. I can't see a crown between the "Swiss" and "made" which is the visual tell. You may be able to get a little discount on the older model, or insist on the newer movement version being ordered.

I have the older one, bought brand new from a trusted seller here earlier this year below mrsp. Newer model has a higher power reserve but the 116622 you show, as I own, is still a great watch.

I love that dial. It’s surprising this watch isn’t way more popular!

Worth waiting for the new movement which is not as reliable as current movement? Besides the powe reserve at 72hrs and the small crown, what other differences are there to justify paying SGD 280 more?

I bought mine before the new one was announced so didn't have a choice, however...

- Tried and tested movement

- saving a little cash

- Having the "discontinued" model (although a movement update doesn't really count)

... All would make me personally take the older 116622

The higher power reserve is nice but only relevant if you wear it in a small rotation where you may have it off your wrist for 3 days rather than 2. Getting something out of the box, winding and setting the time and date, is half the fun

OK have told the AD i will drop by to pick it up on Monday.

My friend will tag along to pick up a two tone Daytona (black dial) as well under my profile!

Love the blue YM-
Was my first Rolex. The dial in the sun is gorgeous. This summer I found a great strap for some summer fun. I wouldn’t make decisions based on new/old movement as it’s a trade off between order but reliable vs newer w longer PR (not a big deal to me) but less tested.

Having owned the new 3235 movement, I think it's totally worth the wait. This is the movement that will be the new standard for the next decade or more, get it now and it will worth you while.

YM is not that sought-after even in this market frenzy, so I would wait for the new movement.

I am willing to guess the old YM you are seeing now will still be there when the new ones hit the stores.

Say you wait until the new YM arrives. You check it out and don't like it, you can still go back and get the old YM; only now with deeper discount.

The reason why the AD convinced me to buy was because I was trying on the watch and after taking it off, a Chinese tourist walked past and immediately told my AD that he wanted it.

My AD politely told him that I am getting it (when in fact I was still considering) and he walked away.

She told me she will hold it for me even though there is a waitlist for this. She seemed keen for me to build a profile and relationship with her so that kinda sealed the deal for me.

I'm not that specific into the movements anyway as long as it's a Rolex!

Smart man to take it. I shop at 2 ADs in WA and 2 in AZ and those watches never last a day in those stores. Discounts when the new ones hit - no way! I have the exact same reference and it’s magnificent.

Time will tell, movements are irrelevant, dial and case matters

I own this watch and it's beautiful and if you want it and can afford it you should definitely get it! However, you shouldn't feel pressured into buying it. I'm sure it will sell right away, but I have my doubts if there is a waiting list for it. And you can get one grey for a lot less than retail.

My AD whom I have purchased 7 watches from was pushing me to buy it. I asked for a 5% discount (tax) and he didn't budge so I passed. A week later I got one that was 6 months old for $9000.

I think it's more about having the chance to build a relationship with a AD, as my precious Batman and Rootbeer were from grey.

She seemed keen to build a relationship with me so why not.

Yeah man. I didn't mean to give you the impression that it's something you shouldn't do. I just wanted you to be aware that this model can be found for less if you're OK with your name not being on the card. As far as building a relationship, I'm all for it especially if you see more purchases down the line. However, I don't want to be a total downer but don't get your expectations too high. Relationships matter but I'm sure there are plenty of huge VIPs in your area.

Enjoy your watch! You're going to absolutely love it!

Beautiful! I pick mine up next week. I too realized I could save a few grand going grey but wanted to give my local AD the business for good will purposes. Goodwill does have value

Completely agree about buying local. All of my Omegas were purchased from my OB and while I could have gotten them for less if I went grey, I won't because they always treat me very nice and they are nice to work with.

In the case with my YM, I went grey because my Rolex AD don't treat me as well in my opinion. But maybe this is the reason I don't get calls from my Rolex AD.

I was sorely tempted when I saw one in the local AD’s case several months ago. I held off and got a bluesy, which was/is my grail, but that watch looks amazing, especially in the sun. Good grab.
