Got the text

My ad finally texted me the watch that i wanted and at the same time build relationship so i can get the watch i want like gmt. At first she wants me to buy a yachtmaster which i did not like and i said i will wait for a sub date or no date. Then 5 weeks later he finally texted me that she has nd sub. Went there right away and even call may cc to tell them not to decline a purchase that will cost around 7500. But unfortunately i decided to ship it so i can save in tax and just paid overnight shipping and shipped it to my brother. Now i wont see the watch till sept6 when i go see him but save me $600.
I think this will help me get the watch i wanted the most but doesnt mean i dont like this watch. This watch will be a keeper until she sell me a date sub or probably will keep both. Hopefully she will sell me a gmt soon but hopefully next year which i dont mind waiting since i need to save some money lol.

1.) If she truly suggested you buy a YM to build a relationship to get the GMT vs. getting a watch you actually want, she's a terrible rep. Unfortunately, those reps aren't hard to find right now.

2.) You did a great job holding your ground. Quite honestly, shocked she'd even give you a call. Those ND Subs are highly desirable and it's free money giving that away and you didn't do her any favors walking the first time.

I'm glad you got the watch. I'm sorry you don't love it the same as say a GMT, but seriously, it's an AMAZING watch. Hopefully over the next few months you'll get a chance to see that.

For an impulse buy it's about as good as it gets.

Yes sir. I rather wait and buy a sub than ym at least on the sub i can get my money back or make some. I love the watch dont get me wrong, it was one of my choice back in 2015 but bought the sd4k instead. But she told me not to sell the watch to make profit which i wont do. She said that she will sell me the watch i want if i keep the watch she sold me. Basically she hates flippers. Thats why from now on i will keep sending her a text that im wearing the watch and keeping it.

I was very persistent which i think got me the sub. I always go to her shop weekly and just wave at her then go on my way which tells her that i really want it and i am a very serious buyer that will keep the watch. And she prefer local buyer since it will be a quick transaction.

You must really want a GMT if you’re willing to buy a watch that you don’t really want and will keep sending on going proof you didn’t sell it. Hopefully it arrives soon!

Time to play the ad game i guess. At least its a sub not a ym and can get my mondey back once i get the gmt. It was on my radar back in 2015 but bought the sd4k. Was trying to evade cyclops thats why i was torn with sd4k and sub nd but i made the right choice since sd4k is gone kust after 3yrs.

1) That’s not a relationship. And anyone that thinks paying someone $$$ to be able to spend further $$$ down the road doesn’t quite understand what a relationship is as that is pretty one-sided.

3) While I say congrats to the OP I shrug when I read it wasn’t really the watch I wanted but this one is a “keeper” until one with a date becomes available.

I like the watch thats why i refuse to buy ym which she offers me and i told her ill wait for a sub. Do i like the gmt better than sub? Of course i do but cant buy one. It was once on my radar back then and now i got it. Will this get me to my gmt? Dont know but its a start but either way my money is safe over a ym if ever.

Congrats on your Sub; Imo, the YM is not a terrible watch but an acquired taste (similarly to the new Air-Kings.).

Now that you own a Submariner, you’ll begin to see it objectively. Put the GMT to one side (mentally) and appreciate the classic 114060. It is a fabulous watch, and by no means a tier below any other watch you wish to acquire. Enjoy it.

So you intend to sell this once you get your GMT? Sorry, didn't understand the 'get my money back' part....

Yes and no. If that time comes and able to keep both why not. What im saying about getting my money hack is that im getting my money on the sub better than the ym that the seller offer me the first time. Like the other comments have said she basically gave me free money if ever i sell it.

First, I have a feeling you will fall in love with your new ND Sub

Second, the GMT is a pretty blingy watch too. It definitely grabs attention. However, I like that (to a certain extent). It is the dressy sport watch to my ND pure sport watch.

Lastly, congrats on your new Rolex!

Lucky you to have that watch. I got it before but sold it to my brother which i do not regret at all especially when i see him enjoying it and he paid retail

Me on my flight to ny to give it to him before xmas.

And my sd bringing it back after he borrowed it for 6months.

Yes its kind of blingy buy not chunky like the ym and like the gmt function.

If you want the GMT Pepsi, did you consider selling your SD4K, taking the appreciation in that one, and putting it towards offsetting the GM/reseller cost of the Pepsi?

If you did this instead of the YM/Sub/chasing relationship, you would have the Pepsi on your wrist already.
