Questions on 116505 (strap / bracelet)

Hi,

I'm contemplating a 116505. Is it possible to wear these watches on a strap (e.g., oysterflex or rubberb or Everest - or a nice dress strapp), or will they require the bracelet with which they come? In a very related matter, are there any specific (dress) strap manufacturers you recommend?

Secondly, and much less tangibly, could you fit the RG bracelet from the 116505 onto a 11/126655?

Thanks!

Not sure if you can fit the Rolex OF band because the end links (such as those in 116515) are incorporated on the case, not the band. The RG YM does not have endlinks so these are out too. I am pretty sure you can fit third party straps, including Everest.

Yes, it’s very easy to remove the bracelet and install a leather strap or OF rubber strap. Would be same process as on the SS 116500.

The difficulty may be that, unlike we who can get a very well made SS aftermarket end link for that OEM look, I’m not sure about getting a Rolex rose gold matching end link. You may have a gap between the case and the strap (similar to the Yachmaster OF).

Does that make sense?

If you want rubber you can get special end links plus the OEM Oysterflex "bracelet", which you can use your existing clasp.

If you want leather, check out these guys and see what they can do so you can retain your clasp https://www.abpconcept.paris
