Debating my next piece.

I’d like to get a piece with some blue in it as I wear blue often to work - shirts suits ties etc.

Contenders are:
SkyDweller Blue
BLNR GMT w Jubilee
DJ 41 Jubilee Smooth Bezel Blue Dial

Currently I have a:
216570 Polar
16750 on jubilee
116500 Black
Breguet 7027
Breitling Emergency.

I usually don’t like redundancy which is my hesitation towards the BLNR but it wears much differently compared to the 16750.

I just recently got my wife a CHNR and thats what made me start thinking BLNR.

Thoughts?

Opinions?

Am I missing anything else that could be worthwhile?

Depends on the size of your wrist IMO. If you have a big wrist go Skydweller (since it’s so thick), if a normal size wrist go BLNR.

The SkyD would me my choice given what you already have. Assuming it fits your wrist. If you are looking into other brands, the VC Overseas and the AP RO are also lovely in blue.

I do wear the EXPII which is 42mm and don’t mind a watch on the slightly larger size.

The sports category is already well represented in your collection...Dj41 blue fluted. Oyster or Jubilee? I decided to keep both since I am never selling this watch.

I actually contemplated the meteorite GMT - I know it’s not the same as my 16750 but it’s too close with the red and blue bezel.

Yes - that was my thought. That’s actually what lead me to look at the Sky Dweller - combination of sports and dress.

My brother in law has a Vacheron Overseas in Blue - it just doesn’t get the wrist time it deserves. While it’s a great piece I don’t love it - especially at that price point.

Of the three contenders I would go SkyDweller but since it’s for work I don’t know if the DJ 41, a more basic less expensive watch, might be better.

Looks like you’re not afraid to venture into other brands, so...

Piaget Polo S Automatic Chronograph Blue
Glashütte Original Senator Seventies Panorama Blue
Zenith El Primero Stainless Steel Blue

The dials pop on all the above. Which is what’s great about going into a blue dial watch. You don’t want it to hide in different light.

The safe bet is the DJ41

Have fun shopping!

Based on your collection I would go Sky Dweller followed by DJ. You really can't go wrong with any of the 3 mentioned though.

I'd go sky dweller then the Datejust. Happy hunting.

If your wrist size can deal with the SkyDweller, I would go SkyDweller. Otherwise you can't really go wrong choosing the DJ blue stick dial. Especially if you are frequently wearing the watch under a cuff, the DJ was made for that job. I am partial to fluted bezel however, but each of your choices are really great.

This is my vote, dj41 fluted on oyster! I've missed mine a bunch since I sold it

The Blue SkyD is beautiful, maybe tough to get, same for the BLNR GMT II ... getting harder to get but still attainable is the DJ41. I have a blue Roman's DJ41 and a white skydweller. For an everyday watch, I find the DJ much more versatile, lower profile, showy, but not overly.. consider it....with that all said, you wont go wrong with any in your shortlist. Good luck, and let us know what you decide!

I'd get the Sky Dweller. It sounds like you are comparatively uninterested in the complications and functionality compared to the colour. In which case the DJ seems like the obvious choice for price and relative availability.

Can't go wrong with a Blnr at MSRP although a DJ41 seems like a given to me in any collection. I have a SS Wimbledon, I almost bought the silver dial but figured why not step out of the box a little bit. Did you ever see the Azzuro blue dial w/ Romans? I haven't in person but it looks great in pics.. Happy hunting, you have a nice collection going..

Actually thought of a smurf and even considered the TT Blue Sub. AP Id probably be out on as my AD doesn’t have them and I wouldn’t be able to get a Blue 15400/15500.

I’d also like to keep the budget sub $20k if possible.

How about a milgauss z-blue- the blue dial is lighter than other Rolex dials and its a nice left field choice to mix things up.
