Yes, the date wheel seems to have issues on a lot of the early models.

Not sure if it's still on going. But it *seemed* pretty prevalent if you go by the anecdotal info presented on the forums.

A lot of people reported that Tudor just replaced the insides, versus fixing them, with a good number being sent in repeatedly.

The worse part? You couldn't tell if your watch had this issue since it would occur randomly.

Pretty tough to find in the UK about 6 months wait which is a joke as they could be flogging these by the boat load to punters as a filler while they wait for the pepsi !!

Ended up getting mine on leather because that's the one (and only) they got in. Fully expected to just buy a bracelet separately but wound up loving the strap so much I wound up prefering it over the bracelet. The Tudor deployant clasp is the best I have ever seen. Great watch and the color of that strap just works perfectly with it.

They are the hardest Tudor to source but still nothing like a SS Rolex.

I believe the strap variation for both GMT and 58 are relatively easy to source, it's the bracelet versions that still require a wait.

However, on a few occasions (while travelling) I've seen the GMT on bracelet available. Most recently was in Thailand. However, I have to add their MSRP was also 20-30% higher than at home.

My AD told me the GMT is currently about an 8 week wait time.

I've had mine on order since March. Local AD hasn't seen one in since. Was at Incheon Airport a couple weeks ago and picked up a BB58 there, but no GMTs to be had.

I'm just getting mine back from a warranty-covered repair for the dreaded date issue. I am informed that they have replaced the entire movement. Looking forward to getting it back shortly.

I actually think this one looks better on this particular leather strap vs. the original bracelet. I can understand why the bracelet is more in demand though - less costly to add a leather strap later while having the optionality of wearing it on the OEM bracelet.

While that is true, it's not true by much. It's only slightly cheaper to start with the bracelet and add the leather strap vs the other way around (based on OEM strap).

Bracelet version:
$3,950 + $435 for strap = $4,385

Strap version:
$3,625 + $850 for bracelet = $4,475

So it costs you $90 more to add bracelet vs adding leather. So if you want both, really just makes the most sense to buy whichever one your can find first

I think dealers are playing tricks.
I had paid deposit on one with UK AD in January but cancelled recently as I got cold feet over the date issue. Was told they expected some in this month and got the impression they would not go in the window.

But I think the believers are cooling down too!

I bought mine via a pre owned seller that is well known and regional for a small premium. I bought mine on the strap and love it. No date issues at all.
