Prince Oysterdate Movement Issues

I recently inherited my grandfather's Prince Oysterdate, which my dad got serviced last summer from the jeweler that my grandfather got it from. It was not working, so I sent it back in as it is covered under the jeweler's service warranty. The jeweler told me it was due to "non-authentic tudor parts" in the movement. I was confused as to what he meant, as I know it is an ETA movement inside. Does anyone have any potential insight? They've been unhelpful, but since the service is covered under warranty I figured I'd use it.

Sounds like a dishonest/disreputable "jeweler". If it were me, I'd take the watch to someone else and pay them to fix it properly -- especially if it is of sentimental value.

So the same jeweler that serviced it last year now says that it has non-authentic parts in the movement? If true, you'd think they would be embarrassed to admit it, and they would just shut up and fix it.

They ended up shutting up and fixing it, a couple broken teeth inside the movement. If it still sucks, I'll pay someone by me to do it right. And the sad thing is that they are a Tudor AD in the MSP area.
