TT Sea-Dweller been in the AD's window display for 2 days

For those in Hongkong, the Chow Tai Fook on Eastpoint Rd Causeway Bay has a TT Sea-Dweller looking for an owner at list price. The watch has been in the window display for two, maybe three days.

Don't let it be a Window-Display Dweller!

I really wanted that model a while ago. No AD wanted to sell to me, VIP only, blah blah.

When I finally tried it on the flesh, felt too big for my wrist. Didnt really like the proportions. Maybe it wasn't such a hot piece after all..

It’s a direct correlation to the TT Black Sub. It’s the least popular of the TT Sub family. Most people when buying a TT Sub buy a Bluesy for the sunburst dial. The SD43 is just a large Sub to the rest of the world and the same rules of attraction apply. Had the TT SD43 been a blue sunburst, everybody would have lost their mind and it would be over $20k in the grey market.

You are correct. I think the TT is to YG TT Sub looking and really doesn't do it for me. However, if they would have changed it to a blue sunburst or green sunburst, I think it would be demanding a heavy premium. Sadly, in cases they sit.

A sunburst green SD43 would have instantly chopped the LVc off at the knees. A modern movement in the SD43 size would put the Hulk back to a sub $10k watch. Unfortunately the new Super Hulk would instantly be a $20k new release.

No, mon ami, I am not an AD or an AD staff.

I was surprised seeing it two days ago and I didn't think much of it as I thought it was a TT Sub. But it turned out to be a TT Sea-Dweller and it looked huge compared to the DJ and Day-date next to it.

it will be more popular than a TT sea dweller. Neither will be that hard to get though.

I saw two blue dial DJ 41(one diamond dial/one non diamond) sitting today in Houston.... its slowing down generally. Those were getting snapped up until pretty recently, non diamond in particular . That is the first sign to me, the normal display case sitters returning to the display case. We have a way to go for the true populars to reappear in the case though.

I hope it slows down dramatically, so that I may own both the ss Daytona and blue dial sky dweller that can be purchased at an AD for my own enjoyment!

It sat for at least a few weeks, maybe more. It has since sold

This particular timepiece is not really difficult to get. AD's will pull this out for you to look at if you ask for it specifically.
