New WG bezel for date just 41

Does anyone know how much Rolex charges for a replacement of the fluted WG bezel for the DJ41?

Thanks

I don’t think they’re terribly expensive and remember a number but would rather a more experienced member to chime in. But it’s not end of world expensive.

Even the 36mm is above €1k. I think it's closer to 2k on the 41.

why dont you ask Rolex? if you have a DJ41 and it needs a new bezel they will tell you.

If you are just curious they probably won't

Can an AD can at least price the Rolex part for you and possibly fit?

Surely there isn= someone with a Rolex parts account in the whole of Israel.

Just one more note, OP - if you don't mind the long-distance phone call. The RSC in Dallas is extremely helpful and has always been a good source of info for me.

They are real cool to deal with...here's their number:

(214) 871-0500.

Good luck.

So basically there is a company that bought the rights to sell and service Rolex (One AD) but they charge much higher prices than other countries. For example , DJ 41 should cost in the US 9450$ and here they charge 11,989$
So don’t really fancy paying over what I should

That doesn't sound all that overpriced to me. 9450 USD + 17% VAT (my quick Google search shows that's what it is in Israel)= 11056.5 USD. Remember US prices never include tax, because taxes are different depending on where in USA you are. You are overpaying almost 1k USD, but there's always regional variation between countries. It has nothing to do with them having monopoly. Most countries in EU have similar prices as the US, even including the VAT, which you can get back if you are not an EU resident and are exporting it. Doesn't mean Americans are overpaying. Just means Rolex rarely changes prices to account for exchange rate fluctuations.

Yes tax here is 17%. Not sure if the price includes it though
Even so, overpaying 1000$ is still a lot in my opinion

Curious - 1: If there is no RSC in Israel and only AD's, if you decide to get a new bezel who is going to fit it?

Curious - 2: What is the problem with the original bezel?

Curious - 3: Did you get the watch in Israel and was it from the AD that you believe overcharges?

Just curious

In countries where VAT is federal and not dependent on state/province/region, it's included in price. While I agree it is better to pay 1000USD less than 1000USD more, it hardly constitutes a monopoly driven surcharge. I think it has more to do with your currency doing better. If you look at a couple years ago when your currency was weaker, prices were probably lower than the USA.

There are countries where a monopoly does indeed cause crazy pricing, like Saudi Arabia. If you look at their pricing, you can see they are overpaying, but that's likely due to closed market.

On the other hand an example of country with monopoly is Russia, where all ADs and boutiques are owned by the same company (Mercury) and yet the prices are similar to European prices with similar tax rates. So in short, no, it doesn't seem to me like you are overpaying due to monopoly.

I'm guessing that it should be around $2000 or above. If you configure a DJ41 with fluted bezel or smooth bezel (on Rolex.com) the price difference is $2250CAD (on either bracelet).

But RSC would be the best place to obtain the exact quote of course (as mentioned above).

Good luck OP and let us know if you obtain an exact quote!

Correct. This is for Rolex trained watchmakers only

Price is excluding VAT, by the way.
