Yep, maybe not as soon as, but I have a modded 12 core that is ancient, but I want/need the PCI slots...the trash can was a joke. Currently doing work on a Macbook pro (which is nice for mobility) but it's choking my 4K raw files...need to make proxies which takes time too.

I own a 2019 Mac Pro, I use it mostly in windows with a rtx titan. It’s paired with an EIZO color grading 4k so there was no need to get the Apple one.

I also have several EIZO 27inch ColorEdge CG277 Monitors.. I have a MAC PRO Late 2013 that was purchased by me from B&H that finally I have opened up and set it up on my desk... I guess after setting in the box on my shelf for 4 years it was time to open it up.. Took long time for it to update too..

I got the new iMac 27 inch 3.3Ghz a couple of weeks ago to replace a 9 year iMac that died. Not the Pro model, but very pleased. This is the last version with Intel processors, so a new version is likely on the way in the next two years--but I needed a machine now. One thing on the Pro-my understanding is it can't be serviced at Apple stores...you have to send it in--if that is of concern.

Trusty (old) MacBook Air for cruising the web in my den. I have had this as long as I have been on TRF, and keeps on chugging.

Wow, just checked the prices, crazy money.

I'm a Mac laptop person myself, and worth every penny. But only need the cheaper end laptops, will run everything you need for many many years. Don't see the point paying over the odds for the latest and greatest.

Have set a couple friends up with a Mac mini and 2 Dell monitors, perfect home setup that mimics their office setup without the grief of the Microsoft BS.

Yes apple monitors look great, but not for that kind of money, and you need 2 monitors really.

I have a 2 year old MacBook Pro and could not be any happier with it and I am by far any know it all with computers and only know enough to be dangerous.. I am really wanting one of the MAC PRO 'S with Monitor and Apple Stand for no other reason then just because. I am already on computer overload but heck..

I think it will be hard to find anyone with a Mac Pro. The vast majority of people that own these are into serious video and/or music editing. Think movie or music studios. I looked into one for about 5 minutes and concluded it was overkill and that I would end up using less than five percent of its total capacity. I get it looks cool and all but burning money would make more sense.

MAC PRO 2013 6 Core

I do have a brand new unused 2013 MAC PRO I purchased from B&H that I just recently unboxed and set up on my desk..Took quite some time for it to fully update..As old as it is, this sucker is really nice with a EIZO 27 Monitor...

I find our Apple laptop good for the web, but beyond that I cannot get to grips with even simple things like moving files around.

There seems to be no order to it like windows.

Really don’t know how people use them for work.

Just go to finder. Easy to move things to desktop/documents/downloads, usb storage.

Yes I don't know the file system like I do windows, but with Mac I don't need to know.

Also make sure downloads is in the dock, set to fan/stack/date added. Then quick and easy to find anything downloaded.
