New Yacht Master Doesn't Keep Time Well...Suggestion?
I have a new Yacht Master purchased 6/18. A month after purchasing, I noticed it was gaining 9 seconds a day. It was sent to Rolex for adjustment and came back working perfectly...keeping very exact time. Five months later, it started stopping randomly, while being worn. Back to Rolex. They fixed that problem. Ever since, it is gaining again, currently about 13 seconds a day, yp from about 9 seconds a day a week ago. Rolex states their performance spec is +2/-2 seconds a day. Is their stated standard anything beyond advertising puff, or do some of their watches actually keep time accurately? Am I expecting something unreasonable, such as a very expensive watch to keep the correct time? Does anyone have any suggestions, other than trying to sell it on eBay and end the frustration?

Your expectations are definitely reasonable. Send it back to RSC so that they can correct it.

Every time a watch is opened something can go wrong. For a few seconds a day I would leave it alone. But that is just me. Best of luck.
