First, let me introduce myself. I am started off my watch-collecting career with Doxa. I am now a Mod over on the Doxa Forum of WUS. I have been delving into the land of Rolex now for 6 - 8 months.

I first purchased this X-serial SD. I liked it, but just really got the urge to get a Sub ND. I ended up trading the SD for a 14060M + Cash from the Subs owner. I have been EXTREMELY happy with the trade. Somewhere in that timeline, I bought a M Serial LV Sub from a reputable gentleman on TZ. Really happy with that purchase as well. I started saving last spring and by late fall had the cash in hand to buy a DSSD. So...........Now I have:

A 14060M - Z serial
A LV Submariner - M serial
A DSSD - V serial

I almost feel like I cannot justify a regular SeaDweller since I have the DeepSea, but cannot shake the feeling that I should buy another. The other watch that I cannot get out of my mind is a GV Milgauss........

Any suggestions??

Hi Jason, welcome.

You have a stunning diver's collection.

I would think an SD would make the perfect addition. Besides the fact the reference is no longer in production it fills that "void" between the regular Submariner series and the size of the DS.

Many feel it's the perfect blend between daily wear and professional.

Course.....I can't say anything bad about the GV.

Very good points. I have to say that my "Go To" Rolex is my 14060M. It is just so comfortable that I practically wear it every day. I don't wear it to work, but I do wear it almost all weekend. I also put it on as soon as I get home most days.

Let me put it to you this way.......I own several Wolfe winders and have never put the 14060M on a winder. It has never wound-down since I got it in Nov 08.

One vote for the SD..........Any other people out there to help me rationalize another Rolex purchase??

Great Rolex collection you have. I also love the 14060M!

In terms of what's next... I recommend a GMT IIc or regular SD.

Maybe Rolex's will pull you away from Doxa and you will become a Mod here!

Just traded my Deep Sea for a Panerai 233 and I LOVE it
and now trading my DS for a 70's ND Sub.

If you dive and need it for diving buy current!!! Otherwise vintage is
soooo much cooler!

Welcome to the Forum and it sounds like you are already addicted to Rolex watches!!! I to own a Sub ND 14060M and love it but it doesn't see much wrist time due to my GMT PEPSI. I do wear it on the weekends though and like the uncluttered appearance. My vote would be to add to your Sub group and buy an SD. It's the only one you are missing!!!

Nice to see you here. I frequent WUS, especially the DWF and Doxa forums. Love my Sea-Dweller. As a matter of fact, went by my local jeweler today with serious interest in an Omega Planet Ocean-and just like the day I bought my SD, I couldn't believe how much more I still liked the SD. I'm actually thinking about a Doxa 5000T sharkhunter now. You've got a pretty good handle (understatement!) on the Rolex dive watches--if you could handle the polished center links I think a GMTc would be pretty awesome.

Hi Jason and welcome to TRF! Great group of guys here like on WUS's Doxa forum. We Doxa guys need to educate our Rolex friends here. One guy posted recently he thought Doxa's were made in Italy.

I agree about the "coolness factor" of the vintages. Some of them are just SO DANG EXPENSIVE!!!! I am on the hunt for a late 60's matte dial ND Sub. I just love those extra-thick plastic crystals.

BTW, are the bezels on the late 60's vintage subs unidirectional and ratcheting?? Or, are they like the vintage Tudor subs and bi-directional and non-ratcheting? Hmmmmm, just curious if anyone can answer this.......
