DJ 41 white dial or blue?

Hi guys, I currently have 3 watches all black dials that I really love (Daytona two tone, Speedmaster, Submariner). I have been offered the DJ41 by my AD (white or blue) fluted bezel and Jubilee belt. I am keen on the white as I have black dials on my other watches. Your guidance would be greatly appreciated.

The blue is stunning however, if it’s contrast your after then White is the right choice in my opinion.

Ive had both white and blue. Blue is still in the stable as it is really more interesting in different lighting and environments. White is a gloss white and is nice too - but the blue is just more special.

With the white and blue, I would see what you like on your wrist as you will get a lot of subjective opinions based on what we like on our own wrist. I will give you what I think the pros and cons are of each.

The benefit of the white is that it is strikingly different than your other dials. I think the white can really go with anything and any situation: from shorts, jeans, chinos, and a suit. You may have poorer legibility on the white than the blue with the white gold hands and lighter background, but that may not be too bad. For exclusiveness, although the blue is more in demand, I can say I haven't seen many white dials in the wild so you'd definitely be different than the norm.

Blue is hard to find and really hot right now. The sunburst really plays well in a lot of light going from almost an azure blue to a deep navy. It will be a darker dial like your other watches in the collection. It is pretty versatile too, but I think the blue lends itself more to a casual look than a dressy look like the white. I have seen more blue dials in the wild but it is a stunner on the wrist.

Blue if you want to follow the herd. White if you are a lone wolf.

White, it looks lovely and does give you a change from the dark dials you currently have.

I was faced with a similar situation and choose white. Photos online don't do justice.

Blue diamond dial. That will surely be different than your other watches. You would never go wrong with white too.

The white dial is amazing in person and very classy can wear anywhere any time. The blue dial is very nice and will probably turn more heads. Either is a great choice.

I have not. The AD has said to come and check them out. I had my heart set on the white. But, as they offered me the blue, I am confused. I will go check it out. Many thanks for your advice.

White would probably fit better in your collection.

I just got my 2nd DJ41, which has roman hour marks on the white dial, jubilee, and fluted. So far, I have enjoyed a classic and clean look of the white dial. Black or blue is more modern than white.

OP
You are doing the right thing to check them both out. Which ever one puts a bigger smile on your face, that is the one. I would not listen to any other comments.
Please report back and tell us what you decided.

Go with White since you already have three black dials!

Here is a good video of my DJ41 showcasing the blue dial. Wait until you see the dial “explode” when i show it in sunlight and the lighting of my elevator.

Always go blue if you want stunning. If you want plain vanilla go white.

White. That's the one you wanted, and it would be a nice change in your collection. Don't buy the blue just because it's supposedly harder to get.
