Looking for Ducatisti

I am in the market for a 696 monster. Anyone else into Ducs? This will be my 4th bike and contrary to what many say, I am not in the market for over 900 as power doesn't excite me like it used to. What say you Ducatista about service intervals for the newer engines? And am I going to be on a bike that requires daily tinkering and wrench turning, or will I be able to actually enjoy this one a bit more than my old Buell? Your thoughts please.

Hi Dan,

My father bought me a BSA M20 500 (ex army side valve with sidecar) when I was 11 and I have been riding bikes for nearly 50 years.
I like my Ducs and have always owned one since my 250 Mach 1 in 1969, currently have a 851 tricolor (1988 Factory kit), a 1098 tricolor and an MV Agusta 750 F1.
I had a look at the new monsters last week and took some pix. The 4 valver looks the goods. I'll post up a pix later when I get home. We have a long weekend and monday (26c) is looking lood for a ride.

Awesome rides Eddie, yeah...I got the Ducati bug but honestly the old monster didn't really do it for me like this one does (hence the Buell XB9r). But she is gone now and there is empty space in the garage. I knew you would have some good input on this one and looking forward to some pics! I am a sucker for that trellis frame!

NCIS: The wife doesn't like me riding either, but that seems to disappear once she sees how drop dead sexy the bikes are!
