Milgauss Crystal Replacement

A friend of mine has a black dial Milgauss with the green sapphire crystal. Unfortunately the watch was dropped on a tile floor and the crystal shattered. He's reached out to a couple of independent watchmakers and they have stated that a replacement is almost impossible to source, especially with the recent discovery of parts accounts being stripped from the independents.

If he sends the watch directly to the RSC will they definitely replace it with a green sapphire crystal? I've heard that there is no guarantee. Have any Milgauss owners been through this?
