Advice on a swap please

I am thinking about part exchanging my 2006 Rolex Sea Dweller for a 2010 Datejust 2 with blue baton face...good move or not?

I’d keep the SD. More of a daily vs. the datejust

No idea, which watch do you want to own and wear more?

I would honestly keep the SD and look to add a DJ in the future, the SD and DJ would be a sweet combination. However, if you are just looking for a one watch, I think the SD has it.

Yeah as a recent SD owner I couldnt see making that deal. I have been wearing mine non stop for about a month. I tried my 116613 for about 2 days and switched back. Granted I have never any version of a DateJust I would pass unless you are getting some cash back and then I would think about it. Think that is....

Even if you said to trade for a DJ41 which I'm a fan of I still couldn't encourage this trade. I'm in the add to camp.

I’d never do that trade. DJs are too passé IMO. That’s why they sit in AD empty display cases everywhere.

Maybe for a DJ41. If you REALLY want one.

I personally would not do this trade. SD is fantastic. DJ2 not so much.

If you are the type of guy to wear the Seadweller, I doubt if you would be happy wearing the DJ as a daily. But if you are not happy with the SD, then that is another story.

Lot's of don't do that trade, but depending on what you do for a living and your particular circle it may be a great move. Also the DJII is a 41mm on oyster bracelet so it wears a little sporty. The blue with sticks is a pretty cool piece. The 116334 with blue dial has been holding it's value well, and the reference is for the WG bezel, not the smooth bezel. If you like the size of the DJ41 then later you get the 126600 SD43 and have an upgrade to your diver. But you need to know the value of your Sea dweller before you trade because prices for the 40mm SD's seems to be increasing. So make sure you do a fair trade.

No, no, no. Bad deal.

If you want a DJ, sell your SD and get a brand new DJ41 because it comes with the new 70hrs power reserve movement.

Yep, do it. The DJ is every bit as capable as the SD for every activity including water sports up to and including diving to recreational depths. It is also more comfortable and versatile for everyday wear.

I have both a DF36 and a Sub 16800, and wear my DJ more often, and with greater comfort..
