Advise on what to add next

I'm a relatively new collector, have been at it for 3 years now. My current collection consists of the following 5 watches and a ceramic sub date. All watches were purchased new from Rolex ADs.

My latest addition was the jubilee batman that was offered to me from a local AD that I have not done business with in the past (obviously couldn't pass on it). I should add that I am expecting a Hulk within the next 6-12 months from one of the ADs I have a good relationship with.

I would like to start adding non Rolex pieces, ideally a steel AP Royal Oak (Blue Dial - 15450). With no previous history, I'm assuming getting this watch from an AD out of town (there are none locally) is next to impossible?

In terms of my collection thus far, what do you guys think is missing and what do you think I should move one of the batmans for? One watch that has caught my eye is the two tone rootbeer GMT.

Thanks for your help

Nice collection thus far. I would suggest an AP RO, Blancpain 50 Fathoms (40mm), Patek Nautilus or a nice dress watch from Lange. Happy hunting!

Maybe just sit tight for a while. 5 watches in 3 years is a lot. Enjoy them.

Great collection of Rolex at this point. I can't comment on PP or AP. If I was adding Rolex to your collection I would add dial colors other than black. a Datejust on oyster bracelet, fluted bezel possibly a white, blue or diamond dial. A steel sydweller blue dial. .My .02

Karim. That’s a very healthy and impressive collection. I would definitely move one of the BLNR’s for something else. I would look into an AP as you mentioned or even a PP (dress watch like the Calatrava) you can venture into Omegas there are some great values to be had for some really nice watches.

Keep us posted on what you add!

Maybe a Lange or a JLC for something a little dressy and selling one BLNR?

Fantastic collection! I'd suggest something dressy to mix it up a bit.

My first thought was the JLC MUT Moon - white gold, but a Lange 1 or PP calatrava would fit in very nicely as well.

My favourite is also my first, the rose gold Daytona!

I’d say you don’t need 2x Daytona and 2x BLNR
I’d lose a BLNR and a Daytona and replace a BLNR with maybe a HULK and replace a Daytona with maybe a nice Sky-Dweller.

Very, very nice collection so far. If it were me, I’d be eyeing up the 15202st and swapping the BLNR on Jubilee for a Pepsi. Then probably adding a Patek dress watch. Gotta say though, it’s a pretty amazing set as it is!

Nice collection. For a sports watch, I’d go AP RO. If you want something a bit dressier, look at FP Journe.

Enjoy

Gorgeous collection! If letting one of the Batman’s go, I’d keep the oyster bracelet.

I just added my first PP and am loving it. How about a 5146? Versatile enough to be work casually or dressed up a bit.

Why two BLNRs? Are you buying for yourself, or to make money?

This is not bad advice.

But I would move one of the Batmans and add a royal oak. Solid move!

Nice collection Karim. Do you prefer the Batman on the oyster bracelet or the jubilee? As others have said, a nice dress watch would be a nice change of pace. I've played around with which dress watch to get for the last two years and still haven't pulled the trigger.

Lange Saxonia, PP Calatrava, Vacheron 56, about 20 different JLC's and even the Rolex Cellini Time are all pretty cool choices. Happy hunting!

Right now I prefer the jubilee Batman, but I’m on the list for a pepsi, at which point I think the oyster would make more sense for some diversity. I think it’s pretty certain I will move the jubilee Batman for something non-Rolex. I really like the Patek 5205r and the Lange 1 Moonphase. I think either of these will be my first preowned grey market purchases.
