Now is the best time to buy Rolex watches

Now is the best time to buy Rolex watches.

Assuming you are new to the brand and have lots of money.

If the average person walks into an AD and is looking for a hard to find SS model - he is probably looking at a long wait.

However, if the new to Rolex person walks into an AD and decides to buy a nice tt DateJust for himself and the wife - and a YG or WG reference for good measure - he is probably going to get pushed to the top of the wait list for hard to find SS models.

Suddenly he will be offered difficult to find SS Subs, GMTs, SkyDs, and Daytonas.

So if you have lots of money and like Rolex watches - get shopping. It's a great time to buy.

Buy two for the opportunity to purchase a coveted third.

Opportunity of a lifetime if you ask me.

Strange, I thought ~10 years ago when you could buy a white Daytona for below MSRP was a better time to buy. Silly me.

I feel like most first time luxury watch buyers will not get multiple watches at one time. Granted, I’m talking about the average watch buyer...keep in mind, we’re not the average consumer of Rolex’s. No one needs more than 1

Yeah, 5 years ago was much worse. One could simply get pretty much everything without the BS.

No, no, no. It much better buying something at retail that other folks can't get.

So I says to the GM sales manager Bob I says I just bought a Malibu, a Cruze, a black Tahoe and a Traverse. Any chance I can get a Corvette next year? No he says. I'm fine with that. That's just good business I figure. Gonna go get me some watches next.

Nuts.

Here is the DJ41 I ordered and here is the BLNR the AD offered me. So, you are somewhat correct (somewhat because I ordered my DJ41 in May and was offered BLNR in July).

Just an added note:

Our local and very high-sales AD generally starts running very low on stock heading into Thanksgiving, with folks buying for the Holidays.

(And this stock will not be replenished until after the New Year.)

So yes -- get out there and get your shopping done as early as possible.

Now is not a good time to buy.

If a new to Rolex person walks into an AD 5 years ago, he/she could have had more options to buy on display including "hard to get SS models" and no need to "suddenly offered a hard to get models", because they would be on display!
