jubilee bracelet for ss daytona

hi

i know that the 63200 and 63600 jubilee bracelets will fit the Daytona but does anyone know if the new GMT jubilee bracelet (with the Oysterlock clasp) also fits?

and if so what is the ref. number for this bracelet?

many thanks

Uh, no. Just because one can does not mean you should. It’s a sport watch and should remain on the oyster as intended. The jubilee will make it like a disco ball. No thanks.

Tell that to Rolex who put the jubilee on the GMT...

Here is a thread with the Daytona on a Jubilee, looks pretty good actually.

I can answer your question exactly. I can tell you this. The 63600 is interchangeable with the 214270 Ex1 and 116500 Daytona. So theoretically good chance they can share bracelets (although it doesn’t always work like that).

That said, I have mounted my 126710 BLRO jubilee on my 214270, and while I could securely install it. The fit wasn’t perfect. The lug design isn’t perfect for that case shape which is similar to the Daytona case shape.

That said, the 63600 is amazing on the Daytona IMO.

63600 is the reference
And don’t listen to the “oyster” purists
Wear what you wanna wear
Also jubilee is wayyyy more comfortable and lightweight than oyster

i think it looks great. Just because it came from Rolex a certain way, shouldn't dissuade you from buying a Jubilee, rubber or Leather strap. having a multiple straps/bracelets changes the personality of the watch and gives you multiple options depending on what you feel like wearing

If it fits and you want to do it, then do it! Never understood why anyone would get their shorts in a bunch because of someone else's choice of bracelet.

I thought this would look just plain wrong like when someone puts their sub on a jubilee, but it looks great. Surprised they don’t sell the Daytona on a jubilee tbh.

Some take it personally when something they value highly isn't perceived by others as having the same high value. People modifying watches = watch not perfect = insult to people who like the watch as it is.

You have to give Rolex credit where its due -- a lot of people personally identify with the brand. That's basically the marketing grail.

You do you. Personally I think the Jubilee bracelet looks terrible on a Daytona.

Vintage Daytona could be had on strap, oyster or jubilee
Rolex should to the same today.

You could put a Daytona on a piece of rope....and it would still look great!

I did not know that. I mean for a true sport watch, the strap does lack some functionality. It’s more the aesthetics of it I guess is my problem. I feel the oyster just blends into the case in a very seamless manner, where the jubilee pulls the attention to the bracelet, then the eye goes to the watch and appears a bit less integrated to my eye.

The Daytona has a long history on a jubilee. Just look back to the 6238, 6263 and 6265 references.

Mark my word, it’s coming back again on the Daytona. You don’t have to be a wizard to read the tea leaves Rolex has already set in motion.

thats like a WIS ‘safe space’, get over it. Maybe they should value the way it came because THEY happen to like it that way, not because Rolex told them thats the way it should be. I could maybe understand that line of thinking around modifying a limited edition with a unique look but not a mass produced watch.

I personally hate the jubilee and not a fan of the Daytona either, so I wouldn’t do it for many reasons :)

Thanks for the clarification.
Cancel everything I´ve said so far

At the end it´s just a matter of taste.....I would not wear my 116500 or 166520 on a jubilee. But my taste isn´t noteworthy....I neither like the jubilee on a BLRO nor on the BLNR

A 6238 may even look better on Jubilee than on an oyster.

Have a look at (just google) a 14K or 18K 6238 on jubilee, for instance...

For me, all sport / tool / professional Rolexes should be on an Oyster. It’s part of the heart and soul of those watches.

Disclosure: I’m planning on swapping out my DJ’s jubilee for an Oyster bracelet. So, I’m definitely biased.

Reviving this thread. Do we still think Rolex has the jubilee on Daytona up there sleeve in the foreseeable future?
