Anyone else not that thrilled with the new Panerai's?

I have been thinking of getting another Panerai this year, but after seeing the releases i'm just not that bothered about it now, i guess the good news is an extra year of saving and the hope that 2010 will be the year they release the model i fall in love with instantly, but until then i guess the 233 will do

The problem i have is that it's just little things that are throwing me off the new ones, such as the smaller sub-dial on the 312 and 320, i love the sub-dials on PAMs, the ones on the 312 and 320 look like radiomir sub-dials with their size, my personal favourite for this year though is the 305, it looks superb, but again just one thing puts me off, it's 47mm.

So is there any other Paneraddict that isn't really feeling anything towards the new collection, i know it's never going to be a reality for Panerai to please everyone and i'm more than happy that the 233 is in my mind the perfect watch, but i was really hoping for something that would give me that nice feeling of saving towards a watch i really want, instead of wasting it on dozens of straps instead

p.s, next year, 2010 Panerai will release the 305 in 44mm just for me, and they will even do a special edition P9000 movement in 42mm, sandwich dial, 24 hour GMT with an inner ring marking this, DLC coating and it'll have 'Argee' engraved on the caseback, well we can hope

I really interested, but considering the price I will go for my GRAIL first, 190 & 233.

I'm looking forward to the 312, can't wait to see one "In the Metal"

Estimated price of $6400 mentioned here seems fantastic.

In-house automatic movement with 3 day PR, love the 1950 case in 44mm, silver hands and sub dial next to 9 instead of replacing it (size looks perfectly balanced in my opinion Ryan), removal the inverted date bubble which I was never a huge fan of.

they sure look good in this pictures...i was attracted to 321 till i seen the actual photos taken,i was pretty disappointed by it. The numbers look alittle too small now...no dome crystal,ok without the inverted cyclop. Everything on the dial seems shrunk...i guess i'll just save up the monies for my grail watch 233, hopefully soon...yeah i been thinking abt you

I have seen the 321 in the flesh and its too busy.

I don't like the change to the 233 either....

Id like a 311 or 317 and I am not a Chrono fan...

I would like them a lot better if there was no date, but that is just me.

For that, I'd rather have the 8 day power manual 233.

I think it's going to be $8K - but I haven't been able to find out much about it.

IMO - the best looking new model.

I'm not a fan of the re-issues either

I think that the pricing of the re-issues is a bit off as they're basically the same as before, and the worst bit, both the bloody re-issued PVDs aren't of use to me, a destro might sound good, but i wear my watches on the left wrist and the 28 power reserve, well come on, it has two days reserve, does it really need a power reserve indicator to tell you that

As i said, roll on 2010 when Panerai personally hand me the watch i want, with little bows on the display case
