Incoming: 38mm chrono 26315
Got lucky getting the call recently, probably due to the HK protests. Anyway, this is my favourite AP RO now (vs. 26331 and 15500) simply due to size. I have a 6.5” wrist and the 41mm case wears a bit large in casual clothes but passable in a suit. The 38mm is great though and now I feel the need to move both my 41mm ROC and RO to look for a jumbo or 15300.....

Congrats!!! It looks great!
I also have small wrists and I think it’s a perfect size. I love my 15450 and couldn’t tell the difference in size with this when I got to try it on at the NY boutique. Very jealous! |

Somehow I felt the 15450 wore noticeably smaller than the 26315. Might just be that the dial is much busier on the chrono

Love the watch!
Some did point out the date window placement in another thread and I can't unsee it now |

Or maybe cause you’re used to the 15500 that you mentioned you have? It’s definitely muuuch smaller than the 41mm which I don’t think I can pull off. Or yea maybe it is the dial! I didn’t spend more than a few mins with it, maybe if I got to handle it for longer I could see the difference in size… |

This 38mm has to be one of my favorite watches. I’ve tried it on many times and just speaks to me!
Hopefully mine will come in soon! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

That looks awesome, Jimmy. I like the case size of this one, it looks like it wears well!

I got on the list and my AD has one with the gray dial available to me right now. I’m trying to decide whether I want to pull the trigger on it. I was honestly hoping it would come through in December, after I knew I had a couple of done deals to celebrate. It’s a bit soon for me at the moment. Anyone have any reason to believe these will be harder to come by in 2020?

I dunno... As I understand it, they’re discontinuing the 41 in its current for
. Maybe they’ll put un the new AP movement - and that doesn’t fit in the 38mm case. But there are already a bunch of 26315’s on chrono24 and they’re not going for any crazy amount over retail. I’m on the fence. |

Where did you hear the 26331 is being discontinued? As far as I know, that was a rumour one TRF member posted that no one else was able to confirm with any boutique globally.
In any case, if you like the 26315 and got an allocation I'd buy it now. The piece will probably be hard to get for a year or so due to backlog demand. However, longer term it should be as easy or easier to get than the 41mm ROC. No reason to think that a 38mm ROC would ever command a premium to the 41mm ROC. Quote:

I thought it had been confirmed by a second dealer. Or at least that they had heard the same. I don’t have any new info on that.

I believe it will be relatively easier to come by next year. A few years ago, AP’s CEO said he would ramp up production in 2020 vs the current production figure of approx. 40K. Also, production may be limited now as AP is trying retool everything to the new calibers and be ready to increase production. The 38mm ROC is still using the old F. Piguet movement. But I’m sure the integrated chronograph would be in the ROC soon enough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
