Talking to myself!!!!
I always have arguments and endless talk with my wife when I talk about buying or planning to buy a new Rolex!!!! I can't stop thinking of enlarging my Rolex kingdom. My wife knows very well how precious is Rolex, but she is always speaking about our son and the future.
Do you folks have the same problem with your wives/husbands or partner??? Thanks, Ahmed |

I've just about finished paying for law school for our eldest, so your wife is correct in
her concern regarding the future. Toys are just that, a child's education is something that pays immeasurable dividends. |

Yes, but I've learned to plant the seed early and strategically. Then, after she has time to digest the idea the impact seems a lot less negative.

sorry Ahmed, but i have to agree to what your wife is thinking now...you can always buy watches later. They just luxury items when we have spare $$$ to spend on......wife family children's education is most important. I will never let monies issue come between me and wife...cos this is one of the causes that sour a relationship and ended up no good.

My wife and kids well being and future comes well before a new watch for me. We put some money away for the kids monthly and what is left I can put aside for a watch or a trip of some sort.

It is not contradictory to me as I and my wife have manage our personal finance individually. After we contributed enough (or more) to the family from our monthly salary, we can save and spend the rest whatever we want.

Just save A LOT of money before buying the new Rolex. That way, the amount you spend of it is a small percentage of what you have - so it doesn't seem like that big a of deal anymore. But I know it's hard to wait!
