Given these options, I'd go for the Sub+date. Nothing that Cartier makes does anything for me.

I’d do one I loved rather than 2 for the sake of it. Therefore sub in this case.

Based on the options I would go with the Submariner. If you want a second watch look at a less expensive line like the Seiko.
