Dear Rolex,

theres no easy way to say this but- Ive decided I want to see other people. I just don't feel appreciated and taken for granted. Im not sure if it was that one night stand I had with Omega or what but this just isn't working anymore. You will always be very special to me and Id like to remain friends but I think it best if I move on and You as well (whoops, you did years ago).

Rick/ INVESTR

P.S. call me if you get a Pepsi tho.....

So, If I understand this correctly,

You sleep with your watches on, and you want ROLEX to join in...?

Dude, I'm not sure I would have said that in the open Forum...

But, I feel the same way!!

P.S. thank you for not flooding the market and taking the quick and easy money route, thereby gutting the value of the brand and my collection. I’m not in it for the money or to flip, but do appreciate being able to sell something when the mood strikes me.

Some of the big honking AP ROOs are a bit much. However, the regular Royal Oak's - "jumbo" or time/date watches are quite sublime. I am so glad I was able to get a blue dial 15300 a few years ago. It's a keeper.

Dear Rick,

If you really loved me like you said you did, you wouldn’t put a price tag on our relationship. And you wouldn’t pressure me to commit before I’m ready. You’re just like everyone else who walks in the door — says all the right things, but doesn’t really mean them.

A lot of people have moved on and hoping for the call one day.

This is what Rolex is doing. Trying to shun themselves from the masses. Are they becoming some sort of haute horology company? If so they should probably start cutting ADs down to 100 worldwide.

Rolex is an organization run by !@#$ (too explicit for this forum). They aren't easy to deal with, in truth, they are what you'd compare to the guy with the mustache in the 40s.

Well, they have been transitioning from a tool watch company to a luxury brand for quite some time. This is reflected in both the prices and the styles. Rolex probably does not mind working-class buyers (like me, when I worked) but I believe they are targeting an upper middle class demographic. Like Patek's target audience (just look at their ads).
