Finally joining the AP family!
Have been on the wait list in early Oct. Got a call couple days ago from an AD, they said my watch is ready!
Still a bit hesitating to pull the trigger after the call as i wanna keep my money to desperately wait for my holy grail -- the 15202, but the one available now was not (tho it's the second place on my list). Finally i decided to visit the AD the next day. Tried it, loved it, took it home, and now i so excited for joining the AP family i know im leaving you guys hanging, so here u go my first AP - 38mm 26315 in panda dial!! . . . . . . . . . Tell me about ur thoughts!! i kinda like to use the stop second as my second hand cuz i dun like it stay still at 12. Wonder if it is weird to do that lol. . . . |

Congrats! My fav 38mm as well!
You don’t get to start with the 15202...that would be cheating! ;) |

Congrats! Out of curiosity, did you have an existing relationship with the AD? I would love one of these but figured I would need to go grey.

Thanks all!! i cant help staring at the dial all the time!
anyone would always turn on the chrono function so that the big second hand will move? is it weird to do that cuz I dun particularly like the big second hand to sit still on 12 mark. i want the "running" feel on my watch. Good news is this is my first purchase of AP and i dun know any of the sales representative! I was also surprised that they called me. Just go ahead to ur AD and ask them. Good luck to u |

Congrats on a beautiful watch!! Not sure of the design of this chrono. I know with Daytonas and speedmasters its ok to run the stop seconds as a seconds hand. Something to do with vertical clutch. Im sure someone more knowledgeable than myself will chime in...

so AP uses vertical clutch on their chrono? would it speed up the wear-and-tear of ur watch if u run the chrono 24/7

I'm not too sure about this but from what I've seen it seems vertical clutch chronographs tend to be the ones with a 12-hour register and lateral clutch chronographs tend to often only have a 30-minute register (Notable exception: Omega Speedmaster). I've been wondering if having only 30 minute register is for discouraging the wearer to run the chrono for longer intervals in order to reduce wear and tear. |
