Crazy breitling discounts

Discounts on new breitlings are in the 30-35% in the grey market.
Why so much?
Anyone seeing that at AD’s

About 15 at ad. Grey anywhere from 30-50 off. Depends how many years old they are, and the popularity

It's a Breitling, they do not retain their value. If you want a watch that keeps its value stick with Rolex or Patek.

With 15% at AD, and 35% at grey, I cannot justify going anywhere but grey, new. The manufacturer warranty is not worth 20% (e,g, $800) to me.

Glad I went the other way as otherwise would have been a bad gamble in my case.
A month or so after getting my Chrono 44 GMT, it needed service under the warranty. It was not maintaining power reserve. Sent it directly to BUSA.

Also, on an in-house movement (5 yr warranty), at the 2 year mark, you can send it in for a free limited service, at no cost.

question is, what would it have cost you to get that work done; $800?

I see a lot of Breitlings for sale in my area. I do like the new Aviator 8, though not usually a Breitling fan.

Aviator 8 41 automatic
A watch for all of us who are not pilots, divers, etc.
Just looking for a good clean watch that’s easy to read- like the Rolex explorer

I’d still stick with an AD if you’re buying something with the in house movement. I’m pretty sure if something breaks on the in house movement, you’ll be paying for the fix plus a service. I know they include a full service with all warranty work and that runs about $800 before the repairs.

I got what felt like a good deal on Breitling Aviator 8 by going lightly used. Bought a 6 month old watch at about 45% off.

Normally, a grey market does not provide the manufacturer warranty.

Yeah, I know, but I don't think it's worth 20% of MSRP. Just my take.

Until you have to have an in-house movement serviced to the tune of $800!

It should be noted you can pick up like new Breitlings from trusted online sellers that come with valid (stamped/dated) cards, as the watch was initially bought at an AD. Still considered grey but not the invalid warranty grey.

This. Best of both worlds, at least for Breitling watches.

I don’t think this is anything new for Breitling.

I think everyone on here knows that a Rolex or Patek retain their value more than a Breitling but thanks. smh

Excuse my ignorance as I’m new to Breitling. I’m considering buying an Avenger Hurricane 50mm (yes you heard correct. Lol (grey second hand)) and as it’s an in-house caliber comes with a 5 year guarantee.

Will I receive the remainder of the 5 year warranty too? Would the watch, initially, had to have been purchased from an AD? Slightly confused.

Breitling is opening a stand-alone boutique in downtown La Jolla California. IT WAS DUE TO BE OPEN ALREADY BUT THE BUILDING IS STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION. Sorry for the caps. Anyway, they are pouring a lot of money into this boutique.

Do the boutiques ever discount? I went in one and the sales guy told me how much better the breitling was over my Rolex.

He then asked me what HE COULD do for me to buy one. I really liked the navitimer and I asked for a 20% discount and he said he is not allowed. I then asked what he meant by what he could do....he said I could get a hat or umbrella......

I did not buy one....

The Breitling owned store in Orlando would never discount. The used to sell a lot of watches. But they last few times I've been in it has been empty.

yes, I have it with blue dial and bracelet - beautiful.

Mine runs about 4-5 sec fast (in all positions) on my timegrapher, and I thought about opening the case back to see if I could find the regulation lever/screw, but the back is impossible to remove without a special, expensive tool.

Maybe just as well; still within COSC on wrist.

Congrats on your new watch.
