DD40 date and day change

Hi, my day and date changes at 12:04.

Is that ok it should I have it serviced at rsc?
I'm assuming it would be free of charge since it's under warranty

It's an expensive watch, no one said it was accurate to death. Do some research and learn about the Marvels of mechanical movements (and their tolerances), and actually the way the Hands are put onto the movement .. and most of all, enjoy wearing it :)

Your watch is fine its a mechanical process its not like flicking a switch, some change a few minutes before some a few after midnight all perfectly normal.

There are much better things to do at midnight than study your watch’s day/date change.

It’s normal for it to do that. I called when my submariner was changing like 12:03 and they explained that they have tolerances for it.

I think it was 6 min either way.

So as long as it changes between 11:04 and 12:06, it is fine and they won’t address it with warranty because it is within theirs tolerances.

Also, there is nothing wrong with the watch.

Then the watchmaker installed the hands, he/she just installed them a little too rotated to the right.

4/60ths to new exact.

My DD40 changes over at about 12:03 AM. Perfectly normal.
