What size Date just for women? Push present

Looking for a push present (present for giving birth) for my wife, I'm considering either a DateJust for her or a Cartier bracelet. If I do decide to get her a a date just over the bracelet, what size is for women?

Thanks

31 - 34 IMO. 36 at a push. 28 only if she’s small

I was leaning towards 31 or 34 also it seems like a good size without being too small. 28 seems tiny to me.

I'm getting my wife a 36 since she doesn't like the smaller sizes. Has your wife tried on any of them?

No she has not, now I'm just thinking instead of surprising her with one just take her to a AD and have her try one on and pick.

Got mine a 31mm Midsize. Was a good fit on her wrist.

Probably a good idea. The watch that's perfect for her will be the one she thinks is perfect for her.

My girlfriend is wearing 36mm datejust. She is fine with that she doesn't want 31mm.

I’m a big fan of the 41mm DJ on women wrists.

That doesn't mean anything. It's like saying a skydweller wears fine on men's wrists...

She needs to try it on. Nothing else to say.

That’s what I’d do

You’ll be surprised at what she picks and how different it is from what you might have chose...I can almost guarantee it

Definitely a try on issue, my wife loved the DJ36 until she tried on a DJ31 and then she realised that the smaller watch was just so much nicer and that is what she is getting for her birthday in 2 days time.

But there are many many ladies out there who would prefer a bigger watch and use it as a fashion statement not so much a watch. It is very much a personal issue.

I sized my 36mm for my wife and it man it looked great. Her wrists are small too. I would say 34mm or 36. Her 28mm is nice but think larger looked better on her.

Congrats on the kid!

Kudos to you for the push present. My wife and I just had our first on Halloween and after witnessing the birth I told her she could have anything she wanted. She wanted a new diamond band so that’s what we were shopping for last weekend.

I like 36mm btw. Substantial but not too big.

I agree, however, I'm here giving my opinion on how I like to see the watch. I see it a fashion statement not as a tool. In that sense, the 41mm DJ in particular looks awesome on everyone.

31MM, otherwise the watch may be wearing her.

Definitely do this. Don’t try to guess size, type etc. Take her in and let her choose. She’ll love the experience and she gets the exact model she wants

Don't be a control freak and buy it for her. Let her try them on. It will be best in the long run.

Definitely recommend that. That's what I we did with my wife's first Rolex. I was thinking she'd want a smaller DJ, but she picked the 37mm two tone YM with chocolate dial, and it looks absolutely killer on her. The smaller datejusts have a tendency to look a little old fashioned and "old lady" like, even on someone smaller. She tried on the 36mm DJ with one of the newer feminine dials with diamond numerals, and it looked great on her.

Your wife may have different tastes, but given that she's having a baby and is most likely on the younger side like my wife (who is also having a baby next year), she may prefer a sportier and more contemporary look. Rolex has caught on, and that's why they're offering so many new ladies dials on the DJ36. It's definitely a unisex model now.

If she has previously worn a small watch and liked it. I would go for the 26 mm women’s DJ.

Suggest having her help pick.

I ordered my wife a 36 grape OP from my AD (and I've been waiting for 2 months!). It's a great modern size.

36 is a great size and what my wife got for a push gift. She's pretty slim with tiny wrists, should have gone with the jubilee imo but she wanted the oyster. Just be careful...she tried on my 126710BLRO today and says she wants one!

I am 5’11” and wear 31mm. I tried on the 36 but it felt like so much bracelet on me. I also like to stack my watch with bracelets and felt 36 was too much watch.
But I agree with others it’s best she try one one. Everyone has their own taste as to what looks good.

36mm Datejust would be perfect.
